Made a visor organizer thing. Was pretty easy actually, just over 2 hours. I'm not sold on my front panel layout yet. And ya I used grosgrain as edge binding. Maybe someday I'll use actual bias tape, or even color match my projects.

Ha! No business, just a fun hobby that we both can share.

Anyone make dog toys? Thinking about ordering in some tougher fabric when I get the old singer and making some simple designs. Dog toys have gotten outrageously expensive in the last 10 years it seems. Can't seem to find something under $10 that is of quality and will last awhile.

Seat back organizers? Or just browse the stuff on Bluer Ridge Overland and get more good ideas of projects.

I'm gonna end up making a bunch of organizational stuff and I'll still be one of the least organized people.

I was thinking of an organizer for my camp kitchen stuff. Something that would roll up like a duffel for tranport and hang when in use. For utensils, paper towels, etc with various pockets hooks

Made a quick prototype tipi today. Didn't plan it out a whole lot. Made a triangle pattern that seemed like a good size and went for it. Certainly a confidence booster for when I tackle the 8 man tipi. I'll have one more design feature on here that I can't really add or show on the small model. Should be very useful when I need more head room.

Nice! Did you use onshape at all? It's helpful to figure out the correct angles of those triangles to get the pitch height and width you want while having the material be taught. So either do that, or I can give you a wolfram alpha system of equations (Pythagorean theorem) to determine what they should be.

I have some code written in R to determine the sizes, but I am hoping to use onshape to confirm everything is right.

For this, I literally took a piece of cardboard and cut a triangle piece out for a template. No math was used haha. Just wanted to make sure I understood how to properly make it.

Finally a finished product that works! Made the weiner a coat today. The fabric is light weight and waterproof. Insulation is Climashield apex 5oz. Best part is it compacts to about the size of a baseball easily so we can always bring her a coat for camping. I'll be making a more polished version that's a little longer in a week or two.

Basically copy and pasted that in a few places so sorry for those of you subbed to the same threads. Gotta say, I am hooked on sewing and making gear. Probably took 5 hours and the time just flew by.

Awesome! The dog in the back is looking a little left out.

There's a yoga pose named after that. Down dog. (We have reached the limit of my knowledge of yoga)

Not sure what my next project will be. Camp pillow? Could knock it out in no time with left over ripstop and using the apex climashield for fluff

Knocked this out for someone this evening. She wanted a bunch of crap on it and it just wouldn't stitch right. Gave her a sample and she liked it so boom.

Made a "wing" tarp and some harnesses for nalgene bottles. The wing tarp works okay, but it is not ideal. It was the first big project I did. The angles and reinforcements are not perfect, but it should do.

I have a wing tarp from Kelty (that is quite old, and is falling apart), so I took the cat cut shape from that and transferred it to mine. It didn't work out perfect, but it worked okay.

On my next one I will do something a little different.
