Well it's officially the weekend. I just poured myself two fingers of Rye so it's time to relax.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
I do that. But I use the index and pinkie fingers...

Been gone the last two days. A biking buddy friend had been talking about buying a sailboat and he finally pulled the trigger on one down in Wilmington NC. He took 5 days to move it up to the alligator river and then had to go back to work. We had spoken some and not thingking clearly I volunteered to 'help' if he had to move a new boat. I never thought he would want me to do it without him but he asked me to do it on really short notice. I drove down and left my truck and moved the boat back from the Aligator river to the York River in two days. I've been up and down the intercoastal waterway dozens of times but have been away from boating for quite a few years. it was nice to be back on the water but I'm happy to no longer be a boat owner. Yesterday we left Coinjock and in 14 hours we made the York River (Sarah's Creek) by 9 PM, a total distance of nearly 100 miles including 4 bridge openings, a lock at Great Bridge and one refueling. For anyone familiar with motor travel on a sailboat at 6 knots that was one long day, especially on a boat unfamiliar to me with no electronic navigation. Bumped bottom when I got too close in to the Poquoson Flats but the 3 foot wells and 20 knot winds pulled me right off. No harm no foul! Now I have to drive 3 hours in the morning, plus 3 hours home to get my truck. Oh well, at least he saved some money!

Wouldn't be hard for me to fall asleep either....

Trying to come up with a way to keep the kitty outside after I get her spayed, yet keep her warm and comfy for a few days, until I can let her go. I want her to learn that she will get fed twice a day and where to get food. Plus, want to see how the resident cats treat her. Since she will be fresh from surgery, don't want to stress her out too much. Going to make a "feral cat house" to keep her warm and debating putting it next to an extra large wire crate to keep her....

I miss that area. I used to live in the Sarah's Creek area before moving to Williamsburg. Loved kayaking all the rivers, creeks and even launching from Eustis to paddle around the Ghost Fleet.

Do you have a garage? Could she stay in there until she heels? I think Pinterest had some easy plans for an outside cathouse using a tote.

I do have a garage.... I also have an Annie She would NOT REST until she had found and taken care of Izzy :( You should see what she did to a trash can that had a baby bird nest in it.

Annie is way too interested in them and it wouldn't be fair with the kitty not at her best. She'll be snug and safe outfront.

Wrong!!! When the work day is done, it's the weekend!!!!
