Yeah it seemed like it was going and just fell off. Oh well..... I have been debating if i want to get me a motorcycle as well. Not in any rush for one. What did you get?

I bought an Indian Scout, I wanted to get the Chief Dark Horse but I wanted to pay cash and it was just outside what I had on me. I still love my Scout though. For a dealership, I wasn't expecting much at the Fort Hood Indian dealer that is in Harker Heights but they treated me well and didn't try to upsell me on something.

If you go the Indian route and look at Scouts, let me know. I got the Vance and Hines grenades on mine since the stock exhaust sounds mediocre at best. Makes a world of difference to me, and might sway you into getting one if you were thinking about them.

That's cool man, congrats. My boss has a Chieftan. He went to the Harley shop in HH but they didn't work with him on anything. Just so happen to walk over to Indian and he was sold friendly and helpful peeps. They tried to talk to me about one and I ran out the door....lol j/k The bikes are amazing. I my self think the Scout with the Thunder Black smoke is wicked. But for a beginner I don't think I should look at those kinda bikes just yet.

Scout is a good bike for a beginner if you are a bit older or have the maturity and understand what can happen if you go wide open throttle. The little brother to it is the Scout 60 with a 5 speed and a smaller sub 1000cc engine. Under normal operation, it's a pretty tame horse. If you rev it out in 1st or 2nd you are going to be hauling quick and easy. I haven't felt like I was losing control on it for the last month or so of having it. If anything, it is extremely forgiving. I haven't pushed beyond 85 on it, I bought it to cruise, and it does that wonderfully.

I've never done any actual offroading but I just picked up a 97 4Runner with 4x4 and locking diff that I wanna learn on. I'm in Morgan's Pointe, and I don't mind driving to Salado, Cove, Moody, etc. for a meet up. I just need some help learning the basics.

Don't think a 3rd gen would be welcome there nor a motorcycle. Still a nice thing though. Back when I had my Corvette, I'd go to those things. As it stands, I just hang here in Salado, we usually have stuff going on in town.

This rain sucks, I haven't been able to ride the Indian since last weekend. It can go away at the earliest convenience.
