Had similar issues with my last job. 60 hour weeks, getting blasted out of bed three or four times a month by the pager.... It's not that bad at first, but after 2 or 3 years, I was starting to get shell shocked :)

Good move, OP. A job like that will kill you in the end. Not worth the extra $$

Shoot me a PM if you want to sell some stuff like LCA skids. How much would you sell the suspension for?

10% of what they cost on the open market AT MOST. Not including any installation costs. Mods are like used clothes. They aren't worth anything near new prices. You may run into someone with identical tastes to yours but they will represent maybe 1% of your prospective market. With the possible exception of the topper, none of them will add to the amount a financial institution will loan someone on your truck. Therefor anyone buying it will need to pay that "added value/costs" up front in cash. Further reducing your market.

You've already gotten this answer multiple times but don't care to hear it. Understandable but the situation remains the same.

Further complicating things if you had the dealer do these mods before purchase you likely paid retail plus for all them and that cost is added into your payoff, which could very well be way over current actual cash value now.

Your best bet financially is to remove ALL mods, sell them individually and apply that money to your payoff, then sell the STOCK truck on the open market. You don't seem to want to do this, but you asked.

Over kbb? Nothing over. The mods add no value to the truck

I can sell the stock truck and still make a few thousand from what Is due on pay-off. The reason I started a thread about this is to find out what used aftermarket parts will bring selling them with the truck vs selling them separate. I understand more will be lost in a package deal I just didn't have any idea how much.

I figure you can get anywhere from 30-50% of your mod money back selling it all seperate as opposed to 10% at most selling on the truck. Good luck with whatever you decide. Hope the hard times subside soon.

If you intend to sell it heavily modded, you're looking for your special buyer. If you really want to get value out of those mods, as others have said, pull them off and sell them as parts. If you want to not mess with it or have no stock replacements, you're either going to find your special someone, or you're going to take a bath on the mods. Same with stereos, racks, whatever. People typically pay what the bank will let them pay, and banks don't give a crap about your mods. They loan based on blue book.

Unless you can find the unique character who wants a Taco with exactly all the stuff you've done to it, and who's willing to pay more than the bank wants him to. In that event, you will only get a little bit screwed, rather than utterly and completely screwed.

Let this be a lesson to all you young wipper-snappers: vehicle mods are NOT an investment.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone ever say truck mods are an "investment".

I have to agree with everyone else, take everything off and sell separately. I'd take that bussmann set up.... Let me know exactly what's included and we can talk price

Well I decided I like my truck more than my house so turned it into a rental and moved to a cheaper living arrangement. Two days after everything was finalized my employer pulled me into the office with a better deal on the table.:annoyed: Moving was a pain in the ass but things should be looking up.

Thanks to everyone for the advice if I ever have to part it out I PM everyone in the thread first...........................PLEASE don't talk me into any more mods .............for a few weeks:cool:

Nice! If I were you, I'd stay in your changed living situation since you've done it already, and with the better job you should be able to stack away some dough.

Have you explored all options? Granted I do not know ur situation... but maybe you could refinance? Take out a small loan? Sell your lift and cap only? Sell an old dirtbike or something. That in itself is several payments right there. You might only be in a pinch for about a year... all you gotta do is survive it man... that's what I would do

I have a bass boat, snowmobile, dirt bike and a quad. I planned to sell them but now I may just keep them in storage and see how the apartment and new pay structure works out. If all goes to plan I should be back on my feet in under 12 months and get to keep my toys:fingerscrossed:
