You can fit a infant seat in the double cab. ESP since it's supposed to go in the middle. I do it in mine now. 2 kids would be tight though. A double cab is the way to go bro

Well mine is well into 100k I don't remember the exact. Plus my truck has lived a hard life. Apartment living during my early married years. Florida sun has beat it and also my truck helped build my parents house. It's been an amazing vehicle and taken everything I've thrown at it. I also put a lot of miles driving from the "country" into the city for work. Fire stations can be pretty far apart from eachther as well. Also I take it to training classes which can be all of the state and out of state. kids make the inside age as well lol.

No kids here, that might explain the difference, I use it hard but usually just myself. Me and my brothers wore out my dad's station wagons every 3 years now that I think about it, 40 years ago.

I will for sure brother, I'll still be on these forums because these truck are more my speed as far as the crowd and how they are put to use. I'll probably end up in another once my little nuggets are out of car seats and sitting safely in the back.
Yeah man kids have really accelerated the gradual wearing down process lol

I had a 2011, 4x4 . built it up w/ a toytec lift and rims and tires. Ended up selling it for a good price on the street and got a rubicon. built it up and loved it . really got into wheeling, needed the front and rear lockers which the yota only had rear. Missed the truck after a few years and got a 2015 prerunner. Missed the 4x4 and sold the rubi and got a 2016 yota OR and started my build very happy. I personally love the added features of the new 2016. You live once ,money is just paper. Do what will make you happy.

I would wait until you have at least 50% equity in the truck before even considering trading your truck. I have a 2017 and love it so far, but I've only put 2500 miles on it. The jury is still out about problems people are reporting. If the problems turn out to be nothing in the long run though, it is very tempting to consider a trade. The 3rd generation Taco's are great, this truck is what I've been waiting for.

Let me give you a financial analysis. You would be trading a slowly depreciating asset for low gain to a higher and faster depreciating asset. The only real financial gain would be 20% in income tax deduction for the sales tax on a new purchase. Furthermore, Tacomas have had serious problems in both previous generations. 2nd Gens having full frame recalls. 3rd gen. could use another year to resolve problems as Toyota has high production volumes. Lastly Ford is schedule to reintroduce the Ranger which should add market pressure to Tacomas and hopefully reduce new vehicle pricing. Lastly interest rates are likely to remain low through til nxt spring. Your credit will rebuild with time, and insurance and interest rates would improve and decrease overall ownership costs. Do not purchase the 2017. There will be new Tacomas every year for at least the next 5 years.

Don't waste your time giving him good advice , he didn't come here to get any opinions he came here to reinforce the idea that his 15 is bitchin and the 17 sucks. So you guys all did a good job stroking his ego now he feels much better about his 15 , plus he gets to brag to everybody that he has a 15 which everybody here keeps saying is so wonderful.
