Updated my 2017 without a problem.

I opted for the Phoenix for my inferno Taco.

Are you saying we can put 3 image files in each folder? So which of the 3 images does it choose to have as startup image from the startup folder?

You put three images in the folder, once you into settings it allows you to pick from them. You can change them out as many times as you want.

I finally figured out how to do this, with alot of help from previous post's on this page. Having to get everything just right, or it wouldn't upload to my radio. Here's mine

I just decided to do this mod. Works great as described in the first post. I found the ratio 100% width and 53% height worked perfectly when coming up with a resolution. This image is 800x424.

and for the off screen (Yeah I know big difference):

I figured this out yesterday, loaded up my Jardine Parrot "Taco", he passed away about 1 1/2 ago, he was 19+ years. I had no idea that Tacoma's are called Taco's so I thought him riding along was appropriate. IMG_0117.jpgIMG_0059.jpg

Ok quick question for the technologically retarded. Due to my divorce I now only have an iPad. Can I hook my iPad charging cable to the USB port on the truck and upload photos that way? I'm new to apple and not sure why it doesn't have a USB port? Or will it even read an apple file?

If no go on the apple, can I hook into it via a galaxy s7?

I used a thumb drive formatted in FAT32 not NTFS as it won't work or read the drive, follow the instructions in your manual, you have to create a couple of folders, it's straight forward.

My startup image appears for about a half a second after displaying the mandatory-nanny state-default safety screen. Does anybody else have this problem? It would be nice to see my custom startup image long enough to register what it is. They make sure to give you lots of time to read their warnings about obeying all traffic laws...grrr....

Yeah it goes by so fast it is almost not worth it. I loaded a Display off image but have yet to see that? When does that happen when you shut off the truck?
