I love my Dakars. They have gotten better with time. I might be adding the D29XL AAL at some point since my truck is only gaining weight, but I have been very satisfied so far. They also flex better than I expected.

Here's an old pic of me flexing them out. I'm running the 11" travel Icon 2.0's and Superbumps on an All Pro flip plate.

Lots of good information and yet again you guys have me opening my wallet up! Ignore my previous comments as I have found the answer after pages of reading. Im sold on the Dakar kit, but how do I do this right so I am not chasing my tail later? Extended brake lines, longer u-bolts, and new shocks. Possibly the Superbumps? The B110s seem to be a decent option per @Crom and @Arcticelf's dialogue.

It seems that are other options as well that confuse me. Will the B110s still work with the U-bolt flip kit or will this require more travel? Would it be necessary to look into a shackle flip or would the B110s in the factory location and the Dakar pack serve me right?

Yeah, these i imagine, are on the soft range for polyurethanes - 55-70 Shore A. But the strain limit is a percentage regardless of durometer, so i still think 1/2 of the total thickness would be it's minimum compressed state, so using that with your safety margin seems like a safe assumption. At least... That's what i'll use when i do this myself!

BTW, been looking over your posts about your build and they're some of the most useful on the forum! Thanks for being so diligent with your documentation of your project - it's a real asset to the rest of us.

    Thanks! Didn't know that. :)

B110, wheelers bumps, 3"longer brake lines. New u-bolts, I like the AP ones, good value for the money. Very good combo, IMO.

    Leave your shackles alone.

No u-bolt flip kit? This essentially reverses the axle and leaf spring stack if I'm understanding correctly? Thanks again!

No. The ubolt flip kit reverses the way the ubolts mount so you do not drag them over rocks and rip them off. With the flip kit, you are able to easily slide over rocks and obstacles. See below:
