I should also add that I did have to wait about 20 miles for the light to go off after zip tying the sensors on. Even though the check engine light is out , I still need to go in for the inspection, so I will post back how that goes. I'm sure some dealers are better than others, but this was pretty bad. I wonder if the exhaust could still be a problem, I don't hear any noises and it looks pretty good, I am still wondering if they had tested something in that department. Do they test for pressure or something? Or does the computer give a code for bad pressure? I'll report back when it's inspected. Thanks again.

Ok, before going in for the inspection, I crawled around the exhaust and found a minor puff coming out of between the pipe coming from muffler up to where rear o2 sensors are located. Very minor leakage around gasket, and not at all audible to the ear, I put some muffler weld on it just to make sure there was nothing. Next day went and got inspected, no problem. Moral of the story, Toyota dealer tried to get me to spend $7,000, TOLD ME the o2 sensors were fine. I went and attached 2 new rear sensors, zip tied them to the frame until the check engine light went out, about 20 miles. Then put them in. Total cost $160 for parts and labor. Left a really bad taste in my mouth about the dealer. Thanks to this forum. JF

From my personal experience is that Toyota tech are no more the over payed auto zone employees 3 times my truck at dealer and still couldn't find the problem took me 5 min lazy bunch of crooks at my local dealer if I had the time I would sit out front with a sign letting new customers know before they are taken advantage off but that's my personal opinion.

For the price Toyota is quoting for anew exhaust, you can get a new and better exhaust ad a magnuson supercharger.

Well, the reason I needed the inspection was to get through the appraisal and the trade-in for my new Tacoma TRD off-road. Yeah baby, rockin that now.
