OTD to my door.... $1700.... ouch that is hard to say. But I got lucky. Some lady tagged the back corner of my truck back in March, repair quote was $1643, so I used that to buy the bumper and now you can't see were I got hit.

Lights are wired into a switch I had wired for a bed light, when I had the bar. Still plan to tap into the reverse lights and have them come on via switch or when in reverse.

Having an issue with the license plate flip kit. I have tried two and both wouldn't work. The mounting holes, to the bumper, were narrower than the license plate mounting holes, which it is pre drilled for.

Now I am thinking I will just mount it to the spare tire carrier, just have to figure out which mount to get. They seem to run $50 - 100.

Switched out the Relentless Jerry can mount for the CBI water/fuel can mount. I like the look of RF's better, but I want the water cans out from inside my truck.

I just wired up the diode so my rear bumper lights will come on either via switch or when I put it into reverse. Was super easy. I ran a wire from the back-up switch on the transmission to the relay. The I used a Hopkins 56306 Quick Lock Diode (I know, I cheated using this) to connect the back-up switch and power from switch to the relay. Using the diode prevents power from going back down either wire and causing issues.

The Hopkins diode was $12 from Amazon and worth every penny. Took me less than a minute to connect it all.

Also did a little investigating into my future elocker install. Apparently I am not prewired for the switch, which suggests that none of it is prewired. I am not going to deal with trying to make it look factory. I will do the after market wiring I have seen. A switch and a relay and I will be set.

@Crom, which cordless impact do you have? I have been burning through CO2 much faster than I anticipated and figured it was time to add a new tool. In your BT you said how much you love it, but it is to far back for me to find (yes, I am that lazy).

I have a question for you... On your bumper, which looks great, what were your thoughts on a tire cover? I was thinking of maybe getting one, but was unsure.
    Thx.

I want to protect the tire, the desert sun is brutal on tires. I like the tire cover and have thought about painting "TacomaWorld.com" on it, to break up the plain look (Is that to Jeepish?). Also, it hides the fact that my spare rim doesn't match, yet. Although, I am thinking about getting a RockHard license plate relocation kit and mounting my plate on the spare instead of dealing with a flip kit when I want to tow something.

So, to wrap it up, I haven't decided if it is staying.

Thanks. Food for thought. :) I think i like the TW on cover look idea. The details of how that comes to be would matter a lot I would think... Or maybe not. Hard to say. lol

Just replaced the front pads on the 4TR2. Forgot to get pics of the EBC greens installed. I am not taking pics of the old ones, I am embarrassed it took this long to replace. But that is AutoAnythings fault, I ordered them 3 weeks ago, they screwed up, I called to get them replaced, they screwed that up too. So Amazon had them here in a day.

Getting under there, and driving it to work yesterday, I discovered a few things that I need to address quickly.
    -Brake lines (they are cracking)
    -Shocks
    -Alignment
    -Rear pads

Also, The calipers will either need to be rebuilt in the next two years OR Tundra brake upgrade!

    Brakes line ordered.

Update: Replaced front pads with EBC Green, Wheeler's steel front brake lines, and new brake shoes.

Per wifey's request, the gold badging is gone. I removed the SR5 & Toyota badges and painted the Toyota logo & 4Runner badges. Also painted the license plate trim and air deflector. Looks cleaner than and modded.

    Also cleaned her seat covers.

I found a gift card to 4wheel parts, I think I won it in a raffle 2-3 years ago.

I used it to buy the RockHard license plate relocation kit. Sadly it arrived damaged. Nothing I can't fix, but I am waiting to hear from 4WP before I do anything. If I can get refunded a little bit, than I will keep it. If not, I'll let them replace it.

Finally got my spare tire mounted license plate holder. I ordered it from 4wheel parts and the first that arrived was bent up. Still usable, but bent. I contacted 4wp CS and they quickly shipped me a new one. If anyone wants the original, it's yours free (pay shipping).

The base is behind the tire and there is a disconnect to pull the plate. Has a plate light and third (fourth) brake light built in. I did get them all wired in.

I really need to find a matching 17" sport wheel to mount my spare Cooper tire on. Right now I have a 15" steely and 265 tire that was under the truck for as long as I have owned it. I do have a lock keeping the plate on. It's a Bolt brand that is keyed to the ignition.

So, I am driving down the freeway today and notice the my tire swing arm has swung open. I pull off and notice that the relentless wing bolt for holding the two swing arms closed has gone missing. I grabbed a ratchet strap and secured the arms so I could continue on to work. I know relentless sent me a 2nd wing bolt, I just have to remember were I put it. I need to figure out a better way to latch the them.

Luckily the lock pin locked the swing arm and didn't cause any damage. I haven't had any issues with it in over 6 months, so it's not a bad option, I just want something better now.
