There's nothing wrong with the Venom stands.

 

Didn't say there was. I'm just saying I don't cheap out when it comes to buying things that separate me from the ground (shoes/mattress/tires), and the same concept applies to my bike and the ground. Do you though, Brent, just saying

Yup. Now I need to figure out what I do for next season. I can pull off my race wheels/beringer then plan to buy a new new bike while just doing a small rebuild on the yz to sell. Or I do a full overhaul and go 290/cams/whatever else

 

I see your point, but at over 5x the price for the Pit Bull stands versus the Venom stands it's pretty hard to justify. My bike isn't going to be sitting on them all Winter during storage. It'll be ridden year-around.

Negative. Going to pull off the clutch since I was screwing with it today but I don't see that being the issue

Don't know yet. Went and did a few laps, lost some power in the straight. Lost a header pipe nut, replaced it. Went back out and two corners in it died. Kick starter locked up and motor won't bump.

 

She's totaled.

 

Probably cooked the exhaust valve and burnt her up.

 

Motor probably is

An exhaust valve isn't going to lock a motor even if that was a possibility. But it's not

 

May have melted it to the piston?

 

That doesn't happen, lol

More likely big or small end failure on the crank.

 

That is interference. The valve was open when the cylinder was at TDC.
