Thanks! It's a test run. I couldn't believe the 1/4 inch deep gouges that were etched in the original spare! They were Brutal! Hopefully this prevents that from happening.

Keep us posted. If this works I see alot of people doing this. Hopefully this wont cause another problem on another part of the tire.

I'd worry about water in there causing damage. I'd try to make those rubber bits as small as possible.

Rotated tires and cleaned/inspected rear drums. Pads look great for 25k miles. Looks like I have another 50k left in them. I blew out with compressed air, sprayed down with brake cleaner and everything looks clean as can be.

It's a bigger pain in the ass since I have spacers, more lug nuts to remove to get the drums off for inspection.

One hint and something I learned many years ago, I mark a wheel stud and the brake drum to orient the drum back the same way it came off. Don't know if it makes much difference, but I've been doing this for almost 40 years (get off my lawn you youngins!) and makes me feel better. :D

I'll keep a eye out. I will be doing periodic inspections. Everything is treated with Fluidfilm.

Dropped in husky liners front and back and cleaned the air filter while I had the shop vac out. Fitment is better than I expected, actually.

Installed my Morimoto XB LED fogs today. Sorry, no pics... did it in the garage while it was dark and rainy out so will snap a pic or two tomorrow if it's nice out.

Not too hard actually, which scares me since I'm not very "mechanical", so makes me feel like it's not done correctly. :notsure:
