Hi there. I have a 2015 Tacoma with the stock head unit, hardware number 86140-04040. I found a PDF bulletin on this website that indicates that there's an update for the software / firmware, but I cannot for the life of me find out where to actually download this. (The link within the PDF is invalid.) Can anyone help me figure out how to download the update for this? I'd be much obliged!

You can update the software by downloading the Entune app to your phone and pairing it with the head unit. You will get a pop-up notice saying if there is an update available that you can install via the phone.

I tried doing that but when I put my vin number into the entune app it says my vin isn't on a supported vehicle, and I'm unable to register the software.

That is the only way that I know of on the later 2nd gens. Did you register the vehicle at www.myentune.com before trying the app? Beyond that, I am out of ideas.

Idk if this makes me a bad person, but I had the same issue so I found a VIN on a totalled Tacoma with a similar year and used that. Took me 5 or 6 VIN#s till it worked.
