Hi folks. Newbie here. Just came home with an Inferno SR5. 4x4, 3.5L V6. DCSB.

    MFSR:$32,765 with the following options:
    Navigation $775
    Tow Package $650
Carpet mats and sill protector $208
    Mudguards: $129
    Mini tie downs: $45
    D rings: $55
    Delivery: $940

    Total: $35,567

We negotiated an out the door price (taxes and everything) of $36,000

This is in far-Northern California. What do you all think; is that a decent deal? Thanks for your input!

Not bad, you made them eat the $2700 worth of taxes. If it was a straight cash deal, you saved a couple of bucks.

But it sucks how ridiculous high the prices for these are.

I have a '16 Sport DCLB and I paid close to the same amount.

I got quoted this (inv/MSRP) in Bay Area Northern California:

    7545: TRD OR DCSB 6MT: $30,642/$33,075
    HH: Prem Tech Pkg: $2,074/$2,330
2T: All Weather Liner + Door Sill Protector: $134/$218
    TC: Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover: $579/$650
    MF: Mudguards: $95/$129
    R2: 5" Oval Tube Steps: $320/$469
    TO: Towing Pkg: $579/$650
    TG: D-Rings: $43/$55
    7R: Emerg Kit: $45/$59
    3Z: First Aid: $20/$30
    Destination: $940/$940
    Total: $35,471/$38,605

Quoted $35,971 before TTL (Northern California, 8.75% sales tax)
    DOC/Tire/DMV: $543
    Tax: $3,154
    Total OTD: $39,668

This was through a fleet pricing deal which I am leaning towards taking. I went to another dealership that had one in stock and price before TTL was MSRP (they also thought that difference b/t invoice and MSRP was only $1-2k). This dealer does not have one in stock so I am trying to see if they have an allocation. Not sure about how this process works exactly but I am hoping it's rather painless. The person I have been exchanging emails with said that they could order one but from what I've read here they can't really order one per-se but only get one if they have an allocation for one (unsure if this allocation includes any of the add-ons or if those can be changed on the allocation itself). Also looking at adding the TRD skid plate, air filter, and exhaust system but will still get inv + $500. Pro is only offered at MSRP with this pricing unfortunately.

Hi - Have been a Toyota owner for a long time. Last 2 vehicles were Tundras. Moving from a 2007 Tundra Crewmax to a Tacoma Double Cab.

    Just ordered a Super White 2017 DblCab V6 4x4 SR5 (build date 11/15) with:
AA - 16" Dark Satin Alloy Wheels
TO - V6 Tow Package: Class IV Towing Receiver Hitch, ATF Cooler
    R2 - 5" Oval Tube Step - Black
    2T - All-Weather Floor Liners/Door Sill
    MF - Mudguards

MSRP of $35,181, getting it out the door from a MA dealer for $32,949. Since I live in NH, there is no sales tax on the purchase. Title, Excise tax, and Registration was $677.

Do you actually want everything listed above? Some of the options are factory options, others are easily added at the port.

Don't care so much about the kits and liners but the rest yes (cover, mudguards, steps, towing pkg, tech pkg). Worst case the cover and steps could be installed afterwards, but if I can get invoice price for them and not pay for installation separately then why not?

Sure is! The question is if I can get my hands on an allocation with that price!

It doesn't really help if you don't specify what the MSRP is on the truck you are looking at, and the price you paid before taxes. Taxes are different for every state and the dealership can't do anything about them. If you want an good answer, please provide at least the Sticker on the window before dealer adds, and the price you paid before tt&l.

Are they charging you for the owners manual? I would refuse to pay for that.

If it's listed on the invoice and window sticker, it's Toyota charging the dealer and adding it to the MSRP. The dealer has no choice in the matter. It's silly they show it as a separate item on the invoice, because they have no choice. Just like they can't order a truck without a rear bumper like you could 30 years ago. Who needs a manual anyway? You can just go to www.tacomaworld.com and ask simple questions.

that's the DK option which some dealer will charge for and some will not.

its the leather portfolio to hold the owners manuals

$6 for that leather holder is way cheaper than if you goto ebay or Amazon. trust me I know.

That is different than paying for the owners manual, you are paying for the leather cover, again something I wouldn't spend my money on. I prefer the plastic cover aka glove box
