If there is an easy way to send a copy I wouldn't turn it down. I was thinking of pressing out the studs in the bracket so it would sit flat on the firewall then connect that top little 3rd bolt so it would be relatively close.

I should be able to send you a copy pretty easily. Let me check tomorrow and I will let you know.

I know I sound crazy, but is this something you can do on an automatic 2.7l?

I know it's in no way feasible at all, but my truck has a lot of sentimental value. Doing something like that would be awesome.

Everything I just did was on a 2.7L auto. My truck has sentimental value too, it's the first truck I ever owned. So that was one reason I did this swap.

Update: I ordered Eibach coils from Toytec and Bilstein 5100's. Toytec was great to work with and I got my stuff quickly. The new set up rides so much better then the stock coil-overs. I got more lift than I expected so now I'm lifted the rear and building a front bumper. IMG_7044.jpg
This is the stock coil over in the truck. Again, I sucked at taking pics of the process. But there is a youtube video on this forum showing how to do this without a spring compressor, thats the way I did this swap. I left the 5100's on the bottom setting, per Toytec's recommendations.
    IMG_7047.jpg
These are the new Eibach coils and 5100's in the truck easily clearing some 33x10.50 KM2's. There is no rubbing at all.
    IMG_7050.jpg
As you can see, the front sits higher than the rear, like a Chevy with the torsion bars cranked up. I'll be lifting the rear in about a week and will try to actually take pictures of the process.

Just a quick comment about this swap.--- VERY COOL --- I would always prefer a standard to an automatic and I agree for the price of these 4x4 trucks a swap like this makes perfect sense if you want a standard. The only think I would add is that the electronically activated Diff Lock on my truck is one of the coolest options.

I plan to add a locking diff at some point. Here is my list of stuff I plan to do.
1). Install an ARB rear locker and compressor.
    2). Rock Sliders from 4xInnovations
    3). Gears and 35's
    4). ARB Safari Snorkel
    5). Build front/rear bumpers
Not necessarily in that order. Obviously this will take some time, mainly because all of these add ons rack up a lot of money.

Keep an eye out for upcoming Thanksgiving/Black friday sales. I think 4xinnovations had up to 20% off last year. I ended up taking advantage of BAMF's 25% discount to get my sliders.

the auto brake pedal looks dangerously close to the clutch pedal.

Can't the "manual shift" smaller brake pedal simply swap in ?

One more not really related comment but you might want to do it. Now that you have done all that work, protect it with a nice thick coat of fluid film. Been doing my 2004 for since I got it up from South Carolina to MA. No rust yet.

I'm not sure what pedal you're talking about. As for my pedals, yes they are close. But it hasn't been an issue yet, but if a smaller pedal is an easy swap, I'd look into it.

I'm talking about replacing the larger auto brake pedal
with the smaller manual brake pedal.

I just think that clutching with oversized boots on...
could overlap the clutch pedal's edge
and accidently hit the brake pedal when clutching.

I just feel the auto brake pedal is too large
    when rolling a clutch pedal.

But as long as your aware and hit the correct pedals...
and can safely operate it without chance of interference.
I'll suppose it shouldn't be my worry.

Oh, ok I got what you're saying. I actually trimmed my brake pedal a little to give me more clearance. The picture I posted was before I trimmed it. I haven't had any issues but if I do, I'll look into a slimmer pedal.

Yup. A lot of people associate a high cost when you say "converting to 4wd".
It's also hard to find decent mileage, affordable 4x4 tacomas where I live. Plus you learn a bunch of stuff.
