Finally pulled my radio back out and swapped out the shitty plastic brackets that come with the dash kit. The stock ones work but, you have to find which holes work, and you have to just sit the inlay on the radio (it fits tight so it doesn't rattle) .

 

New solar charge controller (LS1024EPD pwm) and cables terminated. Still waiting on one last order of SB50 terminals to come in to make the lead for the battery connection.

 

This axle keeps popping back in my mind..

Just because it's a Dana 60 ?

You're not gaining enough strength to warrant the cost unless you actually go full float axles, yeah ok it's a Dana 60 and it's the cool axle to have, it's still a semi float axle in that configuration. It's a half step.

If you're going to spend money on an axle make it worth spending the money. Going full floating axle isn't that much more and can still be had in 6 lug hub, with drum brakes, probably not, but if you're going that far...

Soo all this work i did... At AOP my exhaust got pushed up and caught against my shackle.... and melted it all away...

 

Also my ARB Locker passing oil out the solenoid...ECGS checked it the first time it did this and said all was right..

 

Holy crap! The tailpipe melted the poly bushing?!?

 

I just got off the phone with Energy(manufacturer) and they said they melt at about 300-400*. They suggested to call EnergySuspensionParts(retailer) and they could hook me up with just the bushings i need instead of the whole leaf kit.

So the exhaust tip got pinched against the spring hanger and the exhaust temp built up a lot.. The intake temp was 135* and the fuel trims were 9-10% (just under what is needed to throw an emissions/cat CEL. The truck runs really funny like that lol. I found the pinch the next morning and cut it off. My whole exhaust was pushed up so maybe it didn't help the exhaust was blowing on the hanger for the next couple hours offroad and then driving 8 hrs home.

 

Time for a shackle flip kit!

I'm talking to Energy Suspension to get just the shackle bushing. No changes are gonna happen.

 

This again... Public service announcement: do not use unshielded cable for a CB mic extension.

 

My alignment needs some love. It's definitely out again after AOP and I am going to drive my tires off if I don't get a good alignment soon...

I just remembered my last trip to my new Firestone, the "frontman" said that they would look at it further when I had more time to have them work on it. I was heading out to AOP, and needed something better than what I had.

 

Well the steering wheel is straight. Still not the alignment I want and know can be had, but it's better than it was.
