I had stock ucas on my 07 with 886s and an arb bumper/warn m8 . I never upgraded to aftermarket, rolled like that for 160k. As long as you don't go higher than a 2.5" lift you are ok.

Has anyone taken the measurements for fully compressed and fully extended rear shocks with the Dakars?

I've tried searching and haven't had much luck.

Thanks dude! Can you not put the top spacers on with the 886's? I noiced it's not an option with them online. I'd like the full 3". I'm thinking about getting the 885's with top spacer for now, and just upgrading to the 886 coils whenever I order/install my SOS front bumper.

I'll try to get you some at some point. I've got the extended b110 shocks, though.

I'm looking at the OME complete lift kit on toytecs site and was wondering if anyone knows how much lift it will give you? I wanted around a 2 inch lift. Will I get that with the 885 coils and not adding top plate spacers?

Maybe, should be close. Everyone's results differ slightly.

I'm wanting to upgrade my suspension and would appreciate some feedback. My truck: 2009 access cab 4-cylinder, mostly stock, heavy 180cc cap on back. Without additional load it currently sits close to level, with the leaves sitting on the overloads with a load in the back. This is with a recall 3+1 lead pack. I'm not really wheeling, but spend a lot of time on rocky, rutted, potholed back roads. I sometimes haul but rarely tow. I'd like to gain a little clearance, but am mostly interested in a durable and practical setup that will handle a load better, and ride firmer and smoother than stock. I don't want new UCAs, so I want no more than 2" up front. I also like some rake.

    So, here's what I'm thinking:
    - dakars with 3rd leaf removed (2-2.25" maybe?), w/ standard length 5100s
-5100 w/883 up front (1.75" lift for access cab four banger, from what I've read.)

Can anyone comment on this setup? I figure I can add a 1/4" spacer up front if there is too much rake. Can anyone compare the load carrying capability of a Dakar with 3rd leaf removed vs stock 3+1? I've gone back and forth between a Dakar and a single aal, but I've decided I'm willing to splurge for the durability of the Dakar, but I'm concerned it may provide too much lift, or not enough support without the 3rd leaf?

Please help cure my analysis paralysis. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I have read that 884 will give 2.75" with my cab/engine configuration. That's more than I want. Any thoughts on that?

    I don't think that much, I got 1.75" but I am DC V6.

Ok. For my needs, why do you think 884 is better?

To me it seems that the 15mm difference between 883s and 884s might leave you with too much rake. But you mentioned getting a spacer if it is too much so maybe you've convinced me to go with your 883 plan :) I have heard that ARB will allow you to trade out coils within a set amount of time after install if you don't like them but I have never substantiated this myself so this could be an option if true. The bright side is that coils are relatively cheap, easy to swap out, and have a good chance of being resold if you don't like whichever you end up with.

So I can buy the 885 coils and get 5100s up front and the extended shocks in the back and just buy the leaf pack later once I can afford it correct? If I bought the shocks now, do you need special tools to put the new coils on to the shocks? Any suggestions for extended rear shocks, because I see 5100s are not preferred with a new leaf pack like Dakars. Another question, do I have to have the bumpstops for the front? Sorry, a lot of questions, I'm just ready to pull the trigger

You can get the leaf pack later sure. Pair it with some nitrochargers or ADS if you want to spend coin. You can get your shocks and coils preassembled, rent a spring compressor, or just use the weight of the truck (easiest method). Get some superbumps for the front.
