I use mine every day. The ride is smooth. On the dirt they are a huge jump from the stock Toyo's. Haven't had a chance to drive in the snow or heavy rain.

The power loss is definitely noticable. 6th gear is even more useless. I drive on the highway every day without it being too much of a nuisance. I would not go any larger without re-gearing (plans for the future). I've lost a few MPG's due to a 2.5" lift and removal of the air dam.

Did you have to use spacers with your factory wheels when you lifted and went to 275s?

Yeah I put 1 & 1/4" spacers to stop the tires from hitting the stock UCA's at full crank. Once I put the spacers on the tires started hitting plastic in the fenders. Easy fix by trimming the plastic.

What are you using for a lift? I noticed it says 5100s didn't know if you were preloading the factory coils or using new coils.

Can anyone tell me what advantage I would have running 887s on 5100s set at 0 as opposed to just buying the 5100s ment for the 16+ tacoma and setting them at 2in?

The ride quality going with the 0 setting and the 887 coils would be noticeable.

Pre-load those suckers to 2 inches it will be different.

I have all the parts in the garage with 885 coils but just don't want to slap them on until the two year warranty is up.

I'm using the factory coils. The ride is stiff, but I'd say most of that is due to the 5100's.

Shoot sorry bro. I haven't logged into TW for months and i'm finally back. I'll try and get better closeups of the rack this week. As for the lift and wheel size I'm running OME 885's with 1.5" AAL's...TRD pro wheels are 17". Not sure if you've purchased them already but I love my OME's.

887s give you more than 2" - same spring rate as 885s, but a tad taller

275's will rub just not as much as 285's would. I have 285/70/17 and when I had them on stock wheels and suspension I rubbed on UCA's and fender well and pretty sure cab. I needed a 2in front spacer and wheel spacers to help clear a lot of the rub and even with those I still do rub a little just not at full lock.

Not sure if you see it but I drilled through the cover to bolt on a t-rail then just attached the rack with some hex bolts.

I use it for my kiteboard and it works well.

Here's mine with 285/70/17 BFG KO2's. Not 275's but pretty close.
