TRD Baja Kit with JBA UCA's 1/2 inch spacer on top, Medium Dakars with BAMF hangars and super bumps all around. 285/75/16 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's on graphite TRD faux beadlock wheels. Pro skid powder coated black with Pelfreybilt aluminum mid skid and aluminum gas tank skid.
This is the kit I've been looking at just wasn't sure on the 887's or the 888's. Do you have any extra weight up front? I plan on doing skids and possibly sliders later on. I'd like to see the final numbers once she settles because she sits pretty good now. How do you like the ride with removing the long overload in the Dakars? This is the other thing I've been debating on is whether or not to remove it. She looks really good.

As of right now, I do not have any extra weight. I do have skids that I have not installed yet. I also have sliders being built right now. I plan on winch and bumper as well, but when that time comes I'm sure I'll change up the setup up front. The ride is great without the long overload, I only removed it to eliminate the extra half inch of lift. I've heard a lot of people saying that without any weight in the bed, that the dakars ride rough or stiff. But the ride to me is awesome. Nice firm ride compared to the mushy oem suspension. Just my opinion as I came from an old 2001 Tacoma and before that a 2001 xterra. So obviously a big time upgrade.

I may just take out that overload leaf too as long as there is no bro lean. One more question, do you have any drive line vibes and did you use the carrier bearing drop or shims? I came from a Jeep LJ and I had OME springs and 5100's on that. I loved it and that is why I'm going that route with the Taco. I fought drive line vibes on that for over a year before I got rid of it so it's something I worry about lifting the Taco. Thanks for all your help.

No vibrations and no cb drop. You definitely will not have any bro lean. You'll still have a little rake actually. That's why I removed the long overload, otherwise it would have too much rake for my personal taste.

That is the best news I've heard all month! Hahaha! I wanted a little rake but not as much as factory. I'm still saving for my lift and the $1000 bonus I will get in December should get me there so I can get UCA's too. Thanks again!

@Panduh you still have the 2.75 spacer kit from pro comp still? Or the Ready Lift?

Best spacer kit for 4x2 w/o having to replace UCAs? I know everyone will say "spacers on a 30k dollar truck whyyyy?" blah blah blah

    I DONT CARE.

This is a street truck and daily driver and don't care about ride quality comments, just looking for best one to go with. I've seen people with spacer lifts and rear shocks and everything turned out fine. Let me know!

Spacer lifts are all really going to be about the same. Either choose between something made of metal or a poly/plastic lift depending on the height. Just find the height you want.

Some people are able to run 3" with the stock UCAs but your caster will probably fall below 1 degree at that height. You'll notice more bump steer and may have some rubbing on the back to the wheel well.

Don't mean to deter you but vibes are kind of hit and miss from what I've read. I have 887s which netted about 2" of lift and I have very faint vibes at about 40 mph. I've been in stock trucks that already had those vibes too, one was so bad it vibrated the steering wheel. So just cross your fingers.

I'm running a 3" bolt on spacer up front and a 2.5" block out back. Alignment is fine, 285/75/16 clears fine on stock 16x7 rims with a 1.25" Spidertrax spacer, no rubbing at all anywhere. You will need longer rear shocks if you lift more than 1.5" though so keep that in mind.

Ordered the same but with spc UCA's. Will be here tomorrow.

How's it ride? Any idea on how much lift after it settled? Looks pretty high in the pic.

I'm trying to determine rim and tire combo now. Was going to do the trd 17's until I saw 120 pages of those already mounted. Sadly I think they look great!!

It rides great, a little stiffer than the stock suspension but nothing I don't mind. I have to tweak it a bit tomorrow (leveling) so I'll have a better idea of lift by then. Also, I got two positive leaf packs so I think the rear got a bit of extra lift. I'll see if I can grab some measurements this week.

I went back and forth over tires and decided to be a little different. Planning on having 255/85/16 mounted on Thursday with my 16" SCS Ray 10s. I'll post when it's all done.

Quick question... So a couple months ago, I put on the Bilstein 6112 w/ springs & 5160's in the rear. I set the height to the 3rd notch, and got approximately 1.5" - 1.6" of lift in the front. I am looking at getting some new tires & wheels in the next month or so, and was wondering if I should upgrade my UCA's as well? As I don't have much experience with Tacomas, I wasn't sure if this is needed. I get that yes, technically it is needed, if you want to be back within factory specs for alignment purposes, but with only a 1.5" lift, is it practical to spend $650 on UCA's for this setup? Only looking at going to the 17" Sema Wheels and 265/70/17 tires, so nothing to crazy.

Was looking at going with the Total Chaos UCA's, if I did decide to get upgraded parts. But if I don't really need them, I'd much rather get a baja designs light bar for that money. Just looking for a little input.

Here is my alignment specs I had done after the Bilstein install. You're thoughts or opinions are welcome. Thanks.
