I am far too cynical. So many years of promise......then BAMM!!! The rug can get pulled out very quickly.

I mean come on.....even the nuks are near the top. And the great hockey minds have projected them to be very high draft pickers this coming Spring.

String a few wins together, at the start of the season, and you're near (or at) the top. If they're anywhere even close to that in a few months....then I'll get excited. And don't get me wrong - I think they may be capable. But so far.....fantastic goaltending has saved their bacon. The D is no better (in my mind) than it's ever been. It still needs vast improvement.

Season seems to be off to a borin start. Im use to just ripping edmonton whenever it gets slow but we cant right yet

5 points in 7 games with Elliott posting an even worse save percentage then Andersen in Toronto is a joke though with their talent. On paper the Flames have one of the better defense cores in the league and a solid top 9 forwards... but they have nothing to show for it yet.
