Never was a fan of the tail lights on the 2015s (not sure of other years). I prefer the solid red of the older models. Does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement other than going to the dealer? Could the older bulb style retrofit onto the led tail light housing or is there an led "all red" replacement?

I'd rather buy a set so I have backup in case the replacements have an issue. If the replacements are "bad" I could get my money back.

Its all just plug and play. Disconnect your current lights from the harness, and reconnect the new lights. Most light housings coming with bulbs installed when you purchase them. The leds are not replaceable or removable.

I believe all rigs 05-08 had the non LEDs. In 09 all models went to LED. Starting in 12 the base trucks went back to the non LEDs with upper trims staying with the LEDs.

And OP.....I'm with you. Can't stand the LEDs. I actually swapped the LEDs on my 15 Sport for the non LEDs from the 13 base I was trading in. Did it right there at the dealership. 4 10mm bolts and 10 minutes of work.

My 2014 base is all red. I thought about going with the led, but ive kinda grown to like the red.

I have a set of the factory base model red tail lights that I took off my 2014 when it had 4k miles on it. I'd trade those for your LED tail lights.

Hate my leds. One day I'm gonna swap and have them smoked correctly.

First thing I did was swap out the fast and furious tail lights for a base model.

i had no idea so many taco owners felt like I did. Thanks for all the great input. I didn't realize that the later model base models still had the all red lights. Thanks again.
