I'd like to replace the aged, very tired looking 15" grey steel wheels on my '04 2WD regular cab (5-bolt).

My criteria is simple: 15" alloy, matte black, fit without modification, about $125.00 max each. I know that narrows the field a lot.

I found these at Discount Tire: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fi...=MBMTKO&yr=2004&pc=45655&wd=15&rw=&vid=008232

...and I actually like them a lot. Their website says they fit. Anyone have any advice or alternate suggestions?

Also, can someone tell me or direct me to the pertinent specs on the stock steel wheels (width, bolt pattern and offset), and I'm not sure if bore diameter is really relevant for 2WD.

Any guidance would be very welcome.

    Thanks!

Zero offset will be a bit more agressive than stock. On a 6 lug, the stock offset is +15. A 5 lug will have the same or be even more positive.

OK so back to the MB TKO 15x7 5-114.30 0 BKMTXX...
Best I can tell my stock stamped steel wheels are 40mm positive offset. The MB TKO 15x7's are 0 offset. Discount Tire is urging me to put 225/70-15's on the TKO's. If this website is accurate: ...and if I understand correctly, the "outer rim" of these TKO's are going to stick out 52.7mm (over 2 inches!!) further than the stock rims! Is this a problem? Is it going to look absurd? According to this website: , "it is vital not to deviate too far from the offset of the wheel originally fitted to the vehicle". 40 mm seems pretty far, but "too far"?

Should I stay away from the TKO's?

    Please help!

    Thanks!

You should put the 07 FJ Crusier wheels on it. I did also get them 100 a piece lol

I like the Pro Comps but the 8" width is a bit much for me.
Those FJ Cruiser wheels are very nice looking...unfortunately my '04 taco is 5-lug.

I've talked to a couple of Discount Tire stores and all three say that the TKO's will work on my truck and they will put one on, see how I like the looks, and go from there. They even said I could drive them for awhile and if I don't like them or there is a problem, they will exchange them no charge. I think I'm gonna try them.
