In terms of mass shootings though gun control helps.
Like I said I'm happy with how ours is, where not everyone is walking around with a gun.
Does our system need work? Hell yes.
Would I rather our system or the US? I'll take how ours is now before I have everyone walking around with a gun.

Very difficult to make comparisons between Canada and the US in terms of number of mass shootings.
Oh wait, it isn't. USA has 10 times the population, and about 10 times the frequency of mass shootings.

See, this is an example of where things get contentious. You've not explained specifically what you mean by "gun control".

Some folks see it as taking away all guns and nobody gets to have a gun unless they're a LEO.
Others see it as quick, relatively unobtrusive, yet accurate and proper background checks.

    Then various versions in between.

Gotta define the terms so everyone's talking about the same thing.

Here in GA it's pretty easy to buy a gun, provided you can pass the background checks. Not a lot of people walking around with guns in the areas I frequent, at least not visibly. Very few incidents involving guns that aren't someone committing a crime with a stolen gun.

Need to stop the political talk. People have been reply banned and banned for lesser infractions.

As a reminder, politics is one of the subjects that violates the TW Code of Conduct.

Thought that would be restricted to stupid crap, like "my crooked candidate is better than your crooked candidate". Here we are all agreeing that they're ALL douchebags.

I have my drivers license, i don't want everyone driving either.

I think we need to up the standards across the board.

Depends on the beer. You can get cheap swill for 1 beaver buck per bottle.
    (I wouldn't drink that stuff).

I mean restrict how easy it is to get one.

DO NOT take away all guns.
I just like how it is here, to have anything automatic you need an restricted license, completely different one from what lets you own rifles and shot guns.
We also have a limit on how big of a magazine you can own.
You can't just walk around with whatever gun you please like you can in some states.
To get a gun thats on the restricted list is not easy either. The waiting periods and what not take a while. I'm still in the process of waiting for the results of my restricted firearms course (been 2 months now).
Domestic abuse call? Yep cops are coming and they'll be taking all your guns with them when they leave. Perfectly fine with that too.
There's a lot of loopholes in the US for buying guns because the laws can vary state by state. At least have the same laws across the whole country. You guys still want to carry I think it should be open carry. At least then you know who has something and who doesn't.

I'm happy with road rage ending like this
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vwh0lBPHg9o

Not like the other video I posted where the guy pulled a gun.

The problem with that rationale, is that **so do the bad guys**. I.e., if somebody wants a gun, they just watch until they see someone carrying one, and two guys jump one and take his gun.

If you mean $1 canada , it has not changed that much. We bought several different kinds as we wanted to taste the local cuisine . One of them was Blue something or another ? It worked .
