Yea, its fast too. I would still go s4 or s6. S4 is going to be quicker then the s6 if I remember right but the space of the 6 is nice.

Just got my first thingy installed in my @IGGY switch panel. A little dual usb charger that matches well with the carling switches.

Spent the weekend converting the 4 door to a manual. It's Running on the auto ECU currently until I can find a manual one. Pulled the solenoid off the auto trans to trick into thinking its in park so it would start. I'll put in the front diff and make it 4x4 here in a few weeks maybe. Drives way better than it did with an auto.

It wasn't too bad, not having to fab parts to make it work is nice.

I almost did that same thing with my '02, never could find a donor truck that I could afford at the time. Always thought Toyota were morons for not offering a manual in a 4 door 4x4.o_O:crazy:

I thought it was strange too. I'm guessing in 01 they were already working on the 05 body change and decided not to put too much effort into it

Nice looking trucks in that first post! I worked a hitch in Wyoming not to long ago and have intentions on going back again if the opportunity arises. Outside of making a run with you guys if my truck is trail worthy by that time, can anyone get ahold of some Wyoming Whiskey and ship it to me?!! I'll reimburse via Paypal as family/friends

I hope it has improved with time, I remember when it first came out it had a horrible aftertaste. I'll send you one, merry Christmas. Just pm me your address if you don't want it in the public eye.

Niiiiice. AT on first gen DCs is what drove me to a 2nd gen. It's like downgrading form a V6 to an I4. Oh yeah, and the short bed.

Dude, I made a 600 mile roundtrip to potentially buy an 04 DC 4x TRD. The test drive up a steep highway grade made me throw the towel in. That was a sad, hard day.

That was a year and a half ago. And that doesn't add another foot to the bed.
