Check out the NE BS thread thread too, that's where we usually hang out. This thread is supposed to be just for planning wheeling but it inevitably gets BS too.

Thanks for the welcome! It seems like 1st gens are pretty rare out here so it's good to know that there's another one out there to commiserate with.

You can thank rust for that. I sold my first gen to a kid from CO for $500 less than I paid for it 2 years, a smashed fender, and 100k miles prior. And I took everything off but the lift. He said he couldn't find any clean, not beat to shit, sub 200k mile 1st gens for less than 10k out there.

Anyone else interested in the weekend of 11/5 for a day of wheeling? I'm good with either Saturday or Sunday that weekend. Would love to get a few trucks and my jeep out in the dirt

    Fran has run it @capetaco12
I think you'll need full skids and possibly winch in case you can't get past the ledge obstacle.

I've got the skids, just need the winch. I have a friend with a JK Rubicon, on 37s with a winch, they made a trip out this summer, and said it was really tough. I couldn't make the trip, but plan on going at some point.

It was good wheeling with you too! I think I'm going to get the truck undercoated here in the next few weeks. Hopefully, that will help delay the rust. I really need to find a decent car wash that pressure washes the underbody out here. If you guys have leads on one that's in near the Mass/NH line, let me know!

So... where can I get more information on the Old Florida Road I'm hearing about? I might be interested in running it some time, if it's not too hard.
