I have a 2011 VW Sportwagon and a 2016 Tacoma - love them both (but definitely the Taco more). Kinda f'ed up that my car is a diesel and my truck unleaded. I'd love to consolidate for a diesel Taco!

The judge is supposed to provide a ruling by end of day today on whether they will validate the proposed buyback program. I'm guessing that appointments will start getting scheduled shortly after the plan is approved.

I got an email this morning stating that my documents have all be reviewed and they are now determining my eligibility,
I thought owning a qualifying TDI was the eligibility requirement. Hopefully the court approval comes thru soon, getting sick of making a payment and paying insurance on a parked car

Do you recall the date that you uploaded your Title, Registration, etc? I submitted uploaded docs on 11-Oct-2016 and am still waiting for the Review to complete. Like you, I am tired of waiting for this to be over. Thanks and good luck with your buyback.

Well I have a tdi tourareg and they haven't even decided. I bought mine outright in Dec 2014 and as we all know what happened. No reason to leave cat parked. Drive it like normal. Nothing wrong with it other than it truly didn't pass the very aggressive epa. At $59k and now not worth half due to this deal I hope they don't come up and say they require fix no buy back. We bought ours as demo with about 6k miles on it and now has 30k miles. Just wish they would just get it over and tell them they have to buy it back. We shouldn't have to take a $30k depression due to this they caused and new. I hope we get answer but they are dragging it out till Nov then probably tell us extension or there is fix. Just like them to pay us at least out full amount of $3000 we paid for extended warranty for 7 years and then at least 80% of msrp only being 2 years old come dec.

I did it. Have a 2015 VW Golf Tdi S. Drove it 24000 miles in one year avg 50+ mpg.

Paid $25 k out the door for the golf. Getting about $29 for the buyback.

    New taco was $30 k

Parked the VW a month ago in the garage. There are caveats to the VW deal if you get in an accident or have damage to the car that would lessen the buyback amount.

Could this possibly be the reason why the older TDIs have gone up in price? Some owners seem to be selling them for more now since this ordeal. Would make sense if you want that 45+ mpg diesel Jetta now.

I submitted all of mine 10/13 and they are still in the review process. I haven't received anything else yet.

I agree that if a buyback becomes an option for the 3.0L TDI, you should receive some compensation for the unused extended warranty costs that you have paid for.

that makes since why you parked it. thanks. As I said we are totally in limbo and I do think the buyback is all but done on the 2.0 as you know. final should be today and they will start taking them back. Sucks we don't have clue what will happen to us. Hope we get buy back and like I said we paid $56k and then little over 3k for warranty which is actually not vw but through the purchase. Again if we can get $50k of the $60k we spent and we drove it 2 years that would be fair but it would be great if we get at least $55k. Forgot we also had 2k in taxes and tag so we have 61k in it. So like to get at least 55k.

I uploaded my docs 9/21 and just heard back this week that my wife's name was missing as a co owner. 3 failed attempts at their callback service and I finally had to wait on the phone 2.5 hours to get through to correct it because it doesn't let you do it when you log in. Anyways, I am looking at getting a Tacoma once all of this is taken care of with vw.

well it is final on all the 2.0 that they will buy them back and approved. Guess they have till nov 3rd to tell us that have the 3.0 to see if we get buy back. hope we get answer and this is done and I can get ours sold back. hope they don't force us to fix it and then be left with a vehicle with no value

Well the judge approved the buyback plan yesterday, so things should start moving in the right direction.

I uploaded my documents online on 10/14 and just received my "we are now determining you eligibility" email today (10/26). Don't understand why they confirm documentation then still have to do an eligibility check... damn lawyers

I tried to call VW claim line to find out what's next because it shows my steps 13-15 are complete online, and it's a 2 hour hold time, thankfully they have a call back option.
I will post any updates as I go thru this.
Did anyone submit there documents before 10/4/16 or am I driving this bus for now?

If your step 15 looks like the picture below, then you have taken it as far as possible at the current point in the process:

Mine only has 3 check marks, but Wells Fargo still owns 1/3 of my car, so no title just a financial consent
