OFR is one of the very few unmaintained roads here in MA thats legal traverse via 4x4 vehicle. It's also a wicked ledge obstacle to that generally requires a decently built rig.

If a built Wrangler on 37s has trouble on this Old Florida Rd., I think my stock suspension and 33s have no shot lol

As for the weekend of 11/5-11/6, sounds like more people can do Sunday, that works for me. So far there's interest from @nickonfire700 @yazmatic @Chapin @jjsul . I'll keep throwing reminders in here through next week so we can get something going. @yazmatic and I had a blast in October Mtn State Forest and Beartown State Forest, but I know theres a big event there this weekend so if any of you are going, probably won't want to go 2 weekends in a row. Also would be down to check out the RI spot. Any other suggestions welcome

I have run OFR 4 times. First time was my old 98 with 33's and nothing else but thats an interesting story as i had been told 3 days prior toyota would be buying my truck back in 2 weeks so i had zero fucks to give.

First time with this truck i had 2" lift, sliders, and 33x10.5s. Dented my front bumper a bit. The first ledge is tough for long trucks.

The second time all i did was add a front bumper and had zero issues.

Last time i think i ran it only thing i have extra now is a crawler.

probably 3 years ago for me. and i think ron in the rubicons last one was 4 years ago. So maybe its more washed out but the last one i did was after a huge storm that wiped several unmaintained roads clean off the map and it was pretty similar to the first time i ran it in 09 with my black truck. I would definitely recommend having a couple people some tools and a winch in the group though.

the trail i would recommend for anyone is the carnage hill trail in NH. the powerlines are public access and there are some fun obstacles and go arounds. Plus lets you ease into stuff and its not far from a main rd and camping.

Definitely! I have never run it so I am only going by what a friend told me. He said it had changed a lot since he had last run it.

That NH spot looks cool, a little far for me 2+ hours. Not sure where everyone is exactly located, but Nepaug State Forest in CT re-opened this week to motorized vehicles. Satan's kingdom is supposed to be fun, never been. Looks like there's access to power lines within the forest as well, off one of the main trails (forest road). I wanted to try Nepaug this summer but there was a ban on motorized vehicles because high school kids party in there.

OFR has 2 ledges that make it seem alot worse than it is. If you can get over the first ledge which is right off the main rd you should be fine. Might have to winch and drag over it.
Last time I was there the approach to the first ledge was very undercut, but there are plenty of smaller rocks to stack if needed.

Tunnel rd is a more stock stuck friendly, but that was many years ago, dont know how much it has changed.

Hey man, fellow CT here! I'm from Plainville but one of my best friend lives in Middletown in Washington St with a 2015 4Runner Trail Premium leveled out with KO2s on stock wheels.

I didn't know Nepaug is back open! I'll have to go at least once before the snow hits.

Sweet! and yeah the ban was from July something until October 26th. I called DEEP earlier to confirm but the lady didn't know, she claims she was gonna ask someone and call me back so we shall see. I want to check it out too, so I'll let you know what i hear.

I've been to Nepaug a bunch of times but never behind the wheel. We used to take my friends Jeep in there quite often before he moved away. Maybe we can organize a group ride up there sometime soon.
