Sorry, been busy with the truck! I ended up choosing the Light quartz gray in the roll on kit. Really liked how it turned out, instructions were straight forward and explained everything in detail.
We, my dad and I, took the truck all the way apart. All the doors, fenders, hood, and bed came off. The plan was to take care of some light rust on the frame, and it would be good to coat between to cab and the bed.
When painting began, the coating was nice and thick after both coats. After prep work it took, a solid 8 hours to do both coats including waiting time in-between layers. Overall a very good product.
Only complaint I have is the rollers. They seem to fall apart and little pieces would get stuck into the paint. We were constantly trying to pick out the pieces off the truck. The kit included 4 rollers, we used 2 rollers per coat. It just seem they should have lasted longer. I really like the monstalining, just seems the roller degrades their product.

Should get some pictures by the end of the day.

I would stick with red, just because the engine bay looks good the same color. I really like the red on this 4Runner. Looks to be the same color as yours. Or go with this darker metallic gray if you decide to switch up the color.

Yeah the truck definitely looks sweet! LOVE the color. I've always been a fan of the cement and kaki single stage paint jobs that have been in the Toyota line up old and new.
