Yeah, no kidding... put any kind of pulling pressure on those flanges and they definitely couldn't hold up.

I just picked up those brackets that you pictured and are they just strictly bolt on?

Sorry for the delayed response man but i picked up some brackets over at pelfreybilt from @Socalduckslayer and had @jeffz0rz replace the Factory frame ends where the bumper attaches with 3/16 steel plate. So with the brackets and Jeffs welding it came out super sturdy. Couldn't be happier.

When I made mine I have that bottom piece going all the way across to tie into the bolts holding the tow hooks

This has to be quite a lot better then what you had

002.jpg 001.jpg 001.jpg Now just remember this is not the same Bumper but the truck side is the same .

I did this one day in a hurry and really have not changed anything in a few years

The first picture is laying down looking left to right the bolts you see are where the tie downs or Hooks mount

Then a piece ties those bolts and the weld nuts I installed in the piece I welded to the front of the frame .

I wanted things to take a good pull from the front and still be completely bolted fast to make removing easy in case I decided to change bumper designs or install it on another vehicle.
