3/4" plywood glued and screwed to the joists using PL Premium and then Schluter Ditra on top

Toughest part will be getting a decent conection for the new plywood to the old subfloor under the existing walls

Sorry for bad quality pics - small bathroom to take photos in. The second photo shows the first 1/2" layer of plywood partially removed, as well as the second layer that runs under the walls.

I think the I will screw some 2x4 into the floor joists to support the new 3/4" plywood at the edge of the walls. Give myself a "shelf" to screw into.

I am in no way knocking it at all.....

Up until about 4 years ago when they remodeled my Aunt and Uncle had a kitchen almost exactly like the one above Harvest gold Appliances/mica cabinets and counter tops white w/gold specks and terrazzo floors in the entire house. They have lived in this house for 55 plus years and other than new windows/ 2 roofs an addition on the back of the house and some new interior paneling it is a time capsule.

And to top it off he still has the Original Frigidaire Refrigerator in the garage still cooling his beer....

You could get a Fiskars if you need something durable

I'm partial to Gransfors but the Fiskars will certainly do the job at an attractive pricepoint.

Moving along on my house. Just replaced the addition roof this past weekend. Kitchens gutted, additions gutted. Had to do a lot of framing and patchwork on the trusses on the addition. I think it used to be a porch that they framed out.

The wall between the kitchen and living room is about to come out and replaced with a 8"x10"x20' hemlock beam.

Hvac parts have been ordered and septics getting started next week.

Apples to oranges. Mine is for clearing a downed tree off a trail or cutting down small trees. The splitter is for that purpose only

For the pine around here- the splitting axe just can't be beat, If I was still in WV burning oak and hickory- I'd use their maul.

They've got a ton of tools- pick the right one for the job.

I've been in Scouting almost my entire life, and have been collecting BSA woods tools for over 30 years.

Some pretty unique sheath knives, hatchets and pocket knives. That small axe with the head in the upper left corner is extremely rare in that condition. Made around 1925

Hell yeah its an avacado green tub! Same with the tile surround I left up because I don't feel like redoing the tile work! Figure gotta keep some of the retro bullshit from the 70's alive. Planning on repainting/recoating the tub after its all done and said. Neighbors did it with their and paid around $300 - holding up extremely well and looks brand new. Painting the room a shade off white in the lavender color to help work with the green until that day comes.

Ductwork for upstrairs - correct. Will wrap it while it is exposed.
