    Morning gang/gangsteress, Picked up a new computer the other day. Can't connect to the internet. My ISP when dialing into them, shows "remote computer did not respond". Called Earthlink, gave me another # to try, have my doubts that will work. Go online with my old puter, I can download a tool to fix it. That doesn't make sense, I need the new one to connect.

    I have to use a little pigtail thingy, my phone line plugs into it, which is plugged into the puter. Still having issues, don't know if I'm entering #'s incorrectly or what. Nothing tells you what is incorrect. Frustrating to say the least, I have to keep unplugging the phone line and monitor cable to attach to the other computer, back and forth, plus my burn pile is all burned up, so no remedy.

    No neighbor kids, plus in todays climate, I'd be accused of luring a under age person. I may have to take the puter to a expert in town and see what they can figure out. Technology, even my original I was able to set up and get online with no help. A few months ago I was trying to use my moms old computer here, had to take it in, the computer guy said when using dialup, Windows 10 was not needed or usable, forgot what he said, but he removed it as the operating system. Maybe that has something to do. ???
