I absolutely love how a real M249 is ~4k. Yet a "replica" semi-auto only version is twice as much.

Be fun to shoot but meh guess im not to excited over it. I'd rather own an AI AX 50 if i was going for over priced rifle

 

Are you talking meets, wheeling, or mod days? I'm considering setting up a wheeling trip next weekend with @2004TacomaNavy

 

I'm game depending on time. College football eats most of my Saturdays. That and I'm completely stock so very limited.

 

Not as limited as you think. I ran stock on trails where people said to have 3" lift, armor, and better than stock tires, and pretty well kept pace with everybody else. That's also open differentials, a 4 cylinder engine, and a manual transmission.
Look into getting more aggressive tires and that will help. I put 265/75/16 hankook dynapro ATM on my truck right before I lifted it. That is the biggest size tire you can fit on stock suspension, and those tires were on the cheaper side by price ($150 each), plus I only found 1 bad review when looking those up in several places. Once on, wifey even commented that she thought they would be louder on the road. I now have almost 35000 miles on them and plenty of tread left to last another year or two.

 

That's the plan eventually. Only had the truck a week and a half haha.

Can you still drain it later on?

 

Yes it only covers the thinner part of the diff. The drain is still open on the bottom.

 

Where did you pick that up from?

 

Summit 60bucks. Kind of throwaway money for how much your getting. It's 1/4 inch steel. Make sure you order the correct one for the 8.4 axle not the 8in they look identical.

I need to get a running start because I don't have the horsepower and torque for more...also I'm pretty sure we've only been on one or two wheeling trips together, and I wasn't trying to blow up my truck then.
