Anyone know offhand wheere the running light fuse is on the 2nd Gen? Fighting with Midas who fkd up my running lights changing a taillight bulb

I still haven't Fluid Filmed the new truck yet. I need to get on that. My weekend is going to stink, so much to do.

They're going to most likely fix my wife's car. I'm not pleased, but I don't have a leg to stand on. It's not like my truck where I could point to a tweaked frame, at least as easily. Luckily, the value will go into the toilet and getting diminished value in MA is next to impossible.

I had gotten my hopes up that we were going to get something new and even basically picked out what we were planning on trying for, but no such luck, most likely.

Meh, it'll never be what it was before the collision. I just hope it still drives well. The shop I chose is highly regarded in my area, so we will see.

I was actually running the numbers on a Jeep GC (/ducks and covers) prior to finding out they were repairing it.

 

Well the wife did just give birth to our son 2.5 months ago...

IDIOTS!

Went for my sticker and found out I had a plate light out. Told em just do it. 10 min later they tell me "gosh we changed it and your running lights are out..they worked when we brought it in". I said "yes and they need to work before I leave". Comes back in 10 min and says I don't have a blown fuse.

Then says "you have those aftermarket lights and bar so I bet that's the issue". I told him in no uncertain terms they were wired totally separate from the harness and that's that. "I noticed a box of fuses in your glovebox so you must have had it happen"..yeah no jackass. He then says my favorite "well you have aftermarket taillights too".

After I got done laughing, I told him they are the Toyota OEM taillights that came brand new with the truck..and that since I still had brake lights, his argument was invalid, and he needs to fix it quick like a bunny.

15 min later "oh I found the broken fuse". I said "I bet it was in the box in the cab" and he said "yes the one I didn't check".

WTF?

 

I've given up with the car industry. I'm the biggest car nut I know, and I loathe interacting with 98% of people in the automotive world (outside of most enthusiasts).

How is that?
