If its open, that's what I'm thinking for the 11/6 run i'm trying to organize in here. Already got a bunch of interest, just need to agree on a location. Just want to make sure wherever we go, it's stock friendly so everyone can have fun, or at least have stock-friendly bypasses. As long as there are dirt trails/roads, and some mud, and some hills, I'm happy haha. I can do without the rock crawling and worrying about breaking parts. I'll post some videos in here tonight of Nepaug, as well as Cockaponset State Forest in Haddam which also looks solid.

Most of Nepaug is stock friendly and definitely doable so shouldn't be an issue, never been to Cockaponset though. Never even heard of it to be honest with ya

Really I didn't realize that ccockaponset was legal to drive motor vehicles in, I've only been there like 2 tho I'm most familiar with naugatuck state forest but that definitely not legal

Alright so here's a couple good videos of Nepaug State Forest (New Hartford, CT). As you can see theres plenty of fun runs and obstacles in the video. A quick youtube search will show tons of Nepaug offroading videos. I'm thinking this might be a good move for next weekend assuming its open to the public. I called today but the lady at DEEP didn't have any idea lol

I'll have to check those videos out when I get home from Salem tonight. But I definitely agree with you on being okay with skipping rock crawling. I just care about being on dirt and mud away from pavement. And I should clear for the next two Sundays.

I will call the state again tomorrow to try and get a solid answer as to whether or not the forest is re-opened

Awesome thanks for doing that I hate dealing with the state period.... But dealing with the state over the phone is fucking intense hahaha true story

I've seen people wheeling there through a mutual friend on FB and they were there with no issue. As long as the gate is open then you're good to go. I don't think they'd really stop a group in daytime. We used to be crazy and go out there at night and that's not condoned haha

Called this morning and we are good to go for Nepaug. This crappy rainy weather should leave some fun mud for us. Looking forward to it. Whoever is going on the dead people's tour this weekend, enjoy and take pics/video!

I'll be there unless something pops up last minute, what time were y'all thinking? I'm good anytime after 12-ish. I also told my buddy with the 4Runner

I'm still not sure but I do like the looks of hat place. I'm supposed to do some work on my truck with my cousin on Saturday and I want to make sure we're still on before I commit to going out Sunday
