What're your thoughts on this? I've been eyeing this thing for a while on craigslist....trying to get back into the taco game so I have a legit reason to spend more money and join in the tomfoolery on TW. I've been speaking with the owner he's firm at 8k but he's looking to sell today since he's training it in. anyone wanna give their .02??

 

If that truck is everything he says it is it's a good deal. My concerns would be the fab work, on the bed cage and looking over all the welds for cracks since I am sure it's been off road. Safety and reliability should be primary concerns. You might be able to get someone on the West side to go look at it with you for a 2nd opinion. @05TacoRunner

From my stand point it looks like its a very well built truck. the fabrication looks good and if it is tig welded it is solid.

 

Where have you been man? We still gotta grab a beer.

 

It has been a while! I was doing some work over seas but I was still a lurker.

I don't know the guy or truck personally. I have seen it around my area quite a bit. From the time I have seen it it look like a solid like truck. I am in the area but won't be of work until 4ish. If you need a second opinion let me know.

 

My views are if its been on Craigslist a while and hasn't sold its got something wrong with it. Even over priced priced vehicles get attention on there..... If its a couple weeks old there is something people didn't like about it....

 

I disagree unfortunately being a "built" prerunner narrows buyers so much and people who will pay a decent amount. These trucks just do not sell well built with no documentation, and even with it it could be difficult. I'm sure he's been getting low balled constantly tho lol.

 

so much truth to this. You have to figure out what its worth to you and go from there. thus why my truck has not sold yet.
