Those things have tons of problems with the rear end and any power addition really only makes it worse. Yes it's cheap to mod the engine, but the rear end will still set you back $3-5K. Also they only make 2 sets of wheels that fit the 6 lug pattern in the V1 offset so you would probable end up having to do the 5 lug conversion and if you do that then upgrade to V2 brakes and stuff you might as well buy a V2. Salvage title you can probably get a higher mileage one in the 20K range.

Yes ma'am. V1 is the first generation, V2 is the second and V3 is the new ones. We just call it the V all the time because it flows a little smoother than always saying CTS-V.

gotcha, just glad i at least figured it out. met a guy recently with the v wagon at a football game watch party. It was souped up, sounded pretty sick. he was rattling off words and numbers a bit too fast for my drinking brain to comprehend so i just nodded and kept saying "dude thats sick" then went back inside to watch the football game lol.

The wagon, especially if it's a manual, is what we call a unicorn in the V world. People love them but rarely do you find a good one for sale that you can afford since they usually sell well above market value due to rarity and especially if it's a low mile car. Mine is a sedan and it's "souped up" too, but I won't throw a bunch of numbers at you. I'm faster than Dennis for sure though.

it was a manual, there was talk about how ridiculously costly it was, as well as he had to buy it in CA and drive it all the way back. It had a bunch of stickers on the windows of brands or mods i was not comprehending at the time.

I was honestly more excited about the rebuilt salvage title sequoia with a tundra TRD pro front end.
