Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
    I hear Lincoln makes a good cheap locker :stirthepot:

    I've done a mod or two
    Yeah, some clutch based ones will wear out and they always need friction modifiers. But the Detroit TrueTrac is a completely mechanical (planetary gear driven) limited slip that would be perfect for what your doing and can use plain ole gear oil.

    You'll need a new clutch once you go to 10 psi. I'd save money for that.

    Automatic:cool: the A430e is supposed to be good for 350hp so we'll definitely test that out!

    My sources say the a340 is good for 500 before it starts eating itself. I've run estimated 400 crank through it with a valve body and 3,000 stall converter.

    1st gear burnout only, no O/D in any boost.

    Nah, I've pretty much settled on the AEM, as its more budget friendly and there's more info on it for Taco's.

    I've been thinking for a long while now and I dont think Im gonna build the forged engine, for multiple reasons.

    -It'll cost a lot of money (upwards of $7000 for everything said and done, and that's a bit conservative) that I can put elsewhere.
    -Dealing with turbo's is fun in theory but crap in practice, we all just wanna drive something with a turbo. lol (a tacoma to be exact)
    -at 500-600 hp the Tacoma itself will need things like, tires, caltracs (gonna need those anyway), a new trans (would probably be a t56 or th400), a new driveshaft (to fit the GM trans) and a standalone, Which would be lots of $$$

    I don't regret the turbo, not at all, it's just not something that I want to carry out on this truck via a built engine so it'll stay stock on boost until it blows up and needs some sort of treatment.

    My plans now, are to clean up the IC piping with the CXRacing IC piping kit, get the AEM F/IC and harness, get a proper boost controller, Injectors and turn the boost up to 10lbs and see what happens :D

    At this point in time I have also developed a ticking noise near the passenger valve cover. I think it's valve's but im not sure. I'm gonna check clearances at some point and stay off boost. I also heard that a tick could be the timing belt (needs replacing anyway) so we'll see.

    So, unrelated, My friend has a honda accord that I rode in recently (stock) and as I was riding in it I realized that I kinda wanted a car, but like I said previously a car would not work for me -long term I should say, since I use my truck so often. However we have just finished moving and I don't really need my truck as a truck any more, and it would be nice to have something that rode half-way decent.

    Basically Im looking into buying a new daily and keeping the truck around for work or a spirited 10psi drive. I'm REALLY liking the 1996-2000 sc400's, If anyone has any suggestions go ahead and chime in :D

    More than likely it has the odometer's 174K
