yep the stupid chain slipped. i was told to fix it or they would have to fill out an accident report which would have to be investigated and i'd probably have to pay for repairs. i fixed it up it looks better than it did before i hit it. 3m 8115 panel bonding adhesive has a multitude of uses.

the authority has a new ceo as of a coupe of years ago and he's been tightening up on alot of things. money is so tight they are getting ready to raise our health coverage by $100 and copays. but they were able to pay 2.5 million to design and implement a new logo

Accidents like that are part of the game. Unintentional stuff happens.

You gotta respect that. Nothing worse than working at a place with no accountability. Pride and craftsmanship end up in the crapper. You always know when you're doing the right thing.

I'd hold him accountable for trying to hold other's accountable.

    Small useful for me stuff.

I thought under federal law they couldn't make you pay for damages unless you did them intentionally or maliciously. That is from the big poster that was posted in a shop I worked at years ago and may have changed. I actually called the owner out with the poster as they were trying to make us pay for tools the company provided to do the job. The poster was taken down that day. It had to do with employee and employer rights and responsibilities.

Ok we where talking about this in the shop. What are the rules for this? If I screw it up is there a time limit to fixing it? < 1 hour <5 hours.
the next question is If I screw it up and someone needs it before I fix it, dose that count?

I guess I'm pretty fortunate. I'm the only operator/maintenence person. I do have a seasonal worker but we get along great and get alot done. My boss is really good and the others that work next to me in other divisions are really good and we're all pretty much like minded. Not to say we don't disagree from time to time but we work things out and get on with business.

We have a kid here that jambs up the shredded at least once a shift. its so bad we now have a pool for what time its going to happen.
the only thing the sucks is after he jambs it up we have to free it up and repair it. tonight's jamb up was very early. surprising he usally is not that motivated early in the shift. 1and 1/2 hours down time and two teeth

We don't have a lot of screw ups, but when we do we fix it till it's right. You're not trying if you don't screw something up along the way.

one of the section supervisors wrecked a truck last week in route to the people mover accident.from what i'm hearing if he's found to be at fault he may be held responsible for the repairs to the vehicle or replacement should be interesting
