Anybody except @Awalak running these 3rd gen SR5 rims on a 2nd gen? I've got a set of 4 sitting in my garage waiting to be mounted, if I could ever make my mind up on what size tires I wanna run... :notsure:

Would like to see some more pictures if anybody out there is running em.

    :worthless:

Two years old - they're ancient. As of tomorrow afternoon, I will have my 2017 OR rims installed.

I had the stock 245/75/16 tires mounted on 2017 TRD OR rims today. Actually, I am quite happy with the results - it gives the Taco a totally different look.

Here is my 2011 Sport with 3rd Gen Offroad wheels and the Wrangler Kevlar tires that come on them. I really like the look.

Just picked up a set of these. I might have missed it in the thread, but would my would my lug nuts from my 2014 offroad wheels work on the 2016 offroad wheels?

I know the 2nd Gen sport lugs were the same as the 2016 off road lugs. I assume the 2nd gen off road wheels used the same lugs.

Update: I used the 2014 OR wheel lug nuts and they worked fine.

Those are the normal nfab bars with the rough powder coat. I think I just got them on Amazon and they bolt right on. They work pretty well for helping my son and old dog get in the truck.

Thinking about buying a set of Gen 3 takeoffs I understand I'll need new lugs going from steel to alloy, will the TPMS from my steel fit ok in the gen 3 alloy? I thought there was some problem with that going to second gen alloys.

Edit: found my answer on page 10. Bummer.

Just found these in the South Bay for $500.00. Kevlar tires included. Only 7,000 miles on wheels. They are way smoother and look much nicer in my opinion. image.jpg

I bought these from a tacomaworld member last week from Texas, I'm from the Toronto area so I and had them shipped to the border in Niagara Falls and picked them up from there. Really happy with the purchase!

Just installed a set of the 3rd gen off road wheels on my 2015. Bought them off Craigslist with 250 miles.
