Installed a new/used set of OEM headlights on a friend's truck Sunday, HUGE Difference!
Makes the truck look new again!
On the old set, you can see the heat from the bulb is causing damage to the lens. I did read up on a long thread about this issue, LED with harness is the best fix?
I was curious if there is any updated fix, Just a Plug a Play fix..

    Thank you Gentlemen/Wisemen of TW..

Toyota came out with a voluntary safety recall where if your day time running lights had caused cracks or bubbling in the lens, Toyota would fix it under an extended warranty. The fix was a brand new set of headlights that had a glass lens rather than plastic. At this point however the recall has ceased and Toyota is no longer covering headlights free of charge.

It looks like your new headlights are the first style (the ones that melted) so it may happen again. LED's may solve the issue but then you're looking at swapping the flasher relay or installing resistors to stop the turn signal hyperflash.

I disabled the daytime running light. There's a thread somewhere here on tw. I'll see if I can dig it up later if it's something you want to do.

I killed mine. Super easy, I crawled under the dash and cut a little wire with a swiss army knife.

Edit to add: I hate daytime running lights. just do. love that this is so easy.
