Question about ride height

    I have a question regarding adjustment of the ride height on my coil overs. So I'm going from 265/70r17's Toyo AT II's to 275/70r17 BFG KO2's and will be installing them soon. My truck currently sits raked (higher in the rear and lower in the front) and I want it level. So, I plan to bring the front up by adjusting my Sway Away coil overs. Now I'm not very familiar with adjustment or how they will react, but here's my concern: I feel like the spring on the coil over is already compressed quite a bit. I'm assuming this based just on what I've read and seen after looking many set ups. The amount of "threading visible" seems to already be a lot. Here's a picture of where they sit now:

    The amount of "threading showing" at the top of my coil over is 1.5" on the driver side, and 1.25" on the passenger side (images are both driver side). It is my understanding that the ride height is calibrated by adjusting the nut at the top of the spring using a spanner wrench. For a higher ride height I would need to compress the spring more. I understand this will create a stiffer ride, but significantly? Will this reduce the effectiveness of my coil overs dramatically? Lastly will it speed up wear and tear on the springs? Sorry if these questions seem silly but I'm having a hard time finding answers to these questions and I really want to avoid purchasing other suspension.

    More preload = less of every benefit.

    Lift. Ride quality. Suspension movement.

    Try a taller coil, maybe. You're preloaded a shit ton already.

    you need to confirm the block height of the current springs and the distance between the lower and upper coil-seat at max compression and make sure this measurement is greater than the block height. Preload up to that point wont cause problems with suspension travel though it may cause handling and alignment issues
