    Hello all,

I am needing new tires for my truck and I am also looking to get new rims.

Currently my 2001 4wd tacoma has 265/70r16 tires on it. I want to put on 265/75r15 because I like the look of 15 inch rims better and these tires would be just a tad larger. my truck is stock so I was just wondering if these rims would work. They have 3.75 backspacing (I know the image has 5 lugs, I would be getting 6 x5.5)

if these won't work can someone point me in the direction of something very similar that will?

I think they will work. 3.75 bs is a good amount and should give you enough clearance (your tires will pop out alittle). As long as you dont plan on doing any brake modifications and you still have oem tacoma brakes then they should fit.

I bought the same size wheels but aluminum early last year for my 02 double cab:
    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/P...69-5883&Manufacturer_PQ=Pro+Comp+Alloy+Wheels

I was initially really worried about fitment but they ended up being nearly perfect for what I wanted. I didn't want any tread sticking out past the fender flares. The tires to protrude past the mud flaps a bit but that wasn't what was worrying me. I am also running a slightly larger tire, 31x10.5r15 which is the biggest you can run without rubbing. And I actually rub a bit on the plastic and about a half turn but it's mostly gone away...i've just been too lazy to get under there and cut a bit of plastic. I also plan on eventually running 33x12.5r15s. Not sure if they will stick out much more but I'll throw on wider fender flares at the same time if needed. Here are pics:

I've been banging my head against the wall for weeks trying to figure out the same thing for the procomp 51's/52's getting mixed reviews. I'm really considering buying one to test fit it since I live fairly close to a 4 Wheel Parts distributor. :frusty:

Did you see my post with pics? It literally answers this question perfectly since it's what I'm running.

I did see that. I think those have a wider id on the inside than the 51's and 52's though.

OP asked about what a 15x8, 6 on 5.5, 3.75" backspacing would be like and the pics i posted are exactly that.

The 51s come in 15x8 and 15x10 and 3.75 backspacing is available. The 52s only come in 15x8 with 3.75 backspacing. So both of them have the option to fit exactly like the photos I posted.

These 3 models will fit exactly like my pics:
    Procomp 51-5883
    Procomp 51-5883F
    Procomp 52-5883M

thats weird. most of the rim setups ive seen with 4.0" BS usually line up perfectly with the fender flares, i would think the 3.75" would stick them out past the flares just a little

for example here is the same set of rims but just 16" and with 4.0" BS. perfectly lined up maybee even out just a hair. (post#9)
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/pro-comp-7069-and-285-75-16.319423/

i am also trying to find a set of rims with the correct BS that lines the tires up perfectly with the flares but not stick out.

    yours looks perfect.

i thought that the 01-04 couldn't fit 15 inch rims?

Well, as I found out through trial and error, you can get 15's on the 01-04. But, if you have a prerunner you'll usually need spacers because the calipers stick out a little wider. I'm currently running the 15x10 procomps with a 33x12.5r15 and they really only rub at full lock on the drivers side. Damn taco lean.
