Go look at the handling thread

There is a gorgeous third gen lowered using tundra parts
    Plug and play

I am debating getting rid of my fox shocks and lowering mine

...^^^... When I used to take my my buddy to breakfast or lunch ... he had ALS & a bad back ... he liked the lower vehicles so he could fall back into the seat also. When I would take the Tacoma .. we needed a step stool to get him up, so he could kinda roll in ... I felt bad when I had to push him in and almost dropped him:eek: ... but he was cool about it though ...:)

Me, I like the higher truck ... but I can see where others would have a problem getting in without a step bar or sliders. Maybe someone can tell you the best way to lower it without destroying the handling or performance.

I understand what you are saying about the Gen 3 being higher than the previous models (especially the older 5 bolt, 4x2's).

PS .,. I can see where you are using "hand controls" too ... like my friend used when he was still driving.

I had no idea you were disabled until you posted the pic. That information would have been helpful in the first post.

Well I fully support your decision. I like lowered trucks and as I mentioned before: the third generation tacoma dropped the 5 lug from the from the line up as if may have been perfect for you. I don't see why so many are surprised someone would want to lower a truck that only comes with 4x4 stature and was actually lifted an additional inch in front over the 2nd gen. people on TW are douches and the 4x4 people tend to be the worst offenders. Good luck with what ever you decide to to. I wish I had advice but I simply don't know much about 3rd gens.
