Thinking about buying a 2006 4runner with 137,500 miles tomorrow morning. Any opinions on whether it's a good deal or not? They are giving me $6,000 for my trade in I owe $6,500 on. Considering the condition of my trade in that isnt bad at all. They are letting me get the 4runner for $11,500. There are service records up until 98,000 miles, but once the 2nd owner took over there were no more service records. The 2nd owner leased it for a few years. It seems to be in good condition for 137,000 miles. Here's a link to it. http://www.ksl.com/auto/listing/3354931?ad_cid=4

Having gone 250k, Aug 2016 was the time to replace the original clutch & get the driver's seat rebuilt/stuffed. Front & back Weathertech liners. Tundra front disc brake swap. I used a warm weekend in March 2022 to finally install my brand new, from old stock, 2000 4Runner driver's seat. $800 directly from the factory in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
That's comparable to what I paid for my 4R. The only advice I can give is try to finance it through your credit union/bank instead of their finance dept. You'll get preferential treatment, % rates & your CU/bank is likely to be more forgiving for a late/missed payment.

Its a 2000, bought from a Toyota dealer in 2008 with about the same mileage as yours for $10k. Yours has been in the UT desert for 10 years whereas mine was in TX & CO. it's probably a good deal, but look into the financing elsewhere 1st. I got a 4 yr loan @ ~6% which translated into $179/mo for 48 month from my CU. The dealer was going to stiff me w/ 3 yr @ 8.9%. I don't even buy my spare parts from them after discovering their terms.

that's almost exactly what I paid for mine. 13,000 on the road with 138,000 miles. 2006 V6 SR5 4x4 in fantastic shape for a 10 year old vehicle.
