when I had my first Tacoma I went with the 285/70/17 and I liked it but there was to much rubbing when turning. So on this Tacoma I went with 275/70/17 and couldn't be happier. They are almost as tall as the 285. But not as wide. So you don't have the problems with the 285.

They are a nice size but you could be happier. 34x10.5x17.
    I couldn't be happier.

275/70/17 are one of the best do it all sizes....
I had them for 3 years now I went to 285/70/17 and are great off road, good driving but a little of a pain when I drive it daily...
For a daily driver 275/70/17 are hard to beat....

Question, with the 285 did you trim the body mount or no? How noticeable was the rubbing. In the market for some bfg a/t and don't really want to cut the body mount.

With the proper lift there won't be much rubbing my 285/70/17 BFG KO2s only rubbed a tiny bit on the inside fender. No body mount cut. The right rims help alot with backing spacing and such.

I would suggest aftermarket rims with offset as stock wheels can rub a lot.

    Just trimming and wheels 8.5 X 17 4.75BS, Ultra Xloc and I had my 2 1/2" lift....

With the Cooper Just misses the cab mount, even on the dunes...

But my 884 are too soft and driver side is hitting the top of the front fender, hard and a little on the passenger side...

Your pictures show some UCA rubbing. Is that with the 34X10.5x17 KO2's?

Yes. It rubbed with 275s as well. Only at full lock.

I noticed no one seems to talk much about the 255 75 17's My truck has these on a 2008 and they seem to work fine with Wrangler tires. Truck has a lift kit but no idea how much or much about it as I bought it used

Some people find 255s are too skinny looking.
