If anyone is interested, I am selling a Warn 9.5 XPS winch. Had it in my 2011, took it out when I got my 16 and don't plan on installing it on the 16. Only used it twice, once was just testing and the second to help stabilize a buddy when he was using a highlift. Front guard has some scratches (not pictured) but the winch is in good condition. Been sitting inside for a year now.

    Asking $900. Located in Elko

DIY around here. Wouldn't let anybody touch my stuff in Elko except myself and other custom car guys but no shops do anything like that around here. Why sua, and what leafs will you be running?

Figured. Just hard to drop the truck in Reno with it being my only transport when I'm in school.
I want to go with SUA to get max travel with minimal lift. Looking at the total chaos kit that comes with deavers. They have an option for HD springs. And the ride of my Toytec boss kit absolutely blows dick

What do you have up front currently? @jberry813 any suggestions on rear setup without having to go sua?

Yes. But I haven't done it yet so I can't speak honestly to how it will perform yet.

I have fox coil-overs with 650 pound springs
    Im up for some experimenting.
Rides like I don't have enough weight in the rear, kind of empty dump truck. Even though I have close to 200 pounds in the bed. When driving I picks up every bump.

Well here's the pile of shit sitting on my garage floor:

    Frame box kit
    Frame plates
    12" x 2.5" King triple bypasses
    Fabricated lower shock mounts
Fabricated shackles with stock geometry but with poly bushings instead of loaded bushings
    Fabricated cross members

Stuff I'm waiting on/need to build:
    Custom Deaver leaf pack
Stock geometry inverted shackles, but all custom fab and beefy as fuck
Fabricated shock hoop outside the frame with a corner gusset upper shock mount

Thats impressive, are you going SOA with the new truck? And what would be your thoughts on the total chaos rear kit?

    Correct, keeping spring over.
Not a fan because it uses factory shock mounts. With the measurements I took so far, I think I'll actually beat the travel numbers and keep SOA.

Why are the factory shock mounts bad? I understand that it doesn't let the kit to work to full potential. I figured it would be a good start point for my broke ass, since I can upgrade to big shocks later down the road. Why are you keeping SOA? its impressive that you can get the same travel numbers.

As you stated, doesn't allow the full potential. Shock bottoms out before the leaf pack is. That's why I'm using a 12" stroke shock to maximize bump and droop travel without sacrificing ground clearance with spring under. Plus my truck is a heavy pig. I'd have to run a custom spring under pack or I'd be running on bump stops to the grocery store.

Makes sense. So if were to to keep my toytec pack and start messing with valving on shocks, how much does valving affect the handling/ ride of the ass end?

Valving is everything. Off the shelf sucks.

Figured that out as soon as I posted. Are you saying like custom valving? Or can I cheat and get the compression clickers from King?

Compression clickers just restricted oil through the adjuster. If it's rough now, as soon as you start clicking it will get stiffer.
    You need to revalve

Lemme rephrase. Currently I have toytec boss 2.0 non adjust or rebuildable. Performance blows, yada yada yada. I don't have the clickers, just curious if that even a useful thing or if its just another thing to blow cash on.

I want to get in to more of the custom valving but I have no clue where to start, and I would much rather custom valve then spend so much on clickers if theres not much of a benefit to them

For the rears, I'm not a clicker fan. But I always buy bypasses and do my valving. Compression adjusters have their place for smooth bodies, but not my cup of tea especially considering the price. You could have bypasses for the same price of adding clickers.

If you don't do a secondary up front like I did and just have the coilover, again clickers have their place. But still not a fan.

I thought about bypasses for tuning wise, but I can only imagine stuffing them in the wheel wheel without cutting would be a PITFA.

I've done a little research about custom tuning smooth bodies with the shim stacks. I still don't know enough for me to be comfortable fucking with it. Would you have any insight with shims? I know weight and driving style affect how the stack is built, but that is all I know.
