4th of july week around in norcal solo

Hi all. I've got a family thing going on in Sacramento on the 1st and 2nd of July. I'm thinking about driving from Seattle instead of flying and then spending the next few days exploring the area.

My plan is to take off early Monday morning from sac to spend a day checking out Yosemite (short hikes and just driving around). It's probably going to be crazy trying to get a camp spot inside the park during that week so maybe somewhere outside where I can just pull in for the night.

Next morning head out to get a bit of easy/mild wheeling in. It would be great if you guys are free to show me a trail or two!

Everything is really up in the air right now. Planning on heading up the pacific coast highway on the way back and checking out whats along it (redwood national park and whatever looks cool along the way). Just trying to see what's worth checking out while in norcal. Planning on getting back to Seattle the following weekend.
