I'm new on here, looking at a used 2002 Taco. I'm wondering the rough cost of a new timing belt, water pump, and battery. Thanks.

If you do the work yourself then around 250$ for OEM parts

3.4L V6? A few hundred bucks for parts, give or take. If you're also paying for labor, expect about $1000 total parts and labor. For the timing belt/water pump, you'll also need gaskets, a couple idler pulleys and belt tensioner. While you've got it all apart and coolant drained, I'd also replace upper/lower radiator hoses, thermostat, and drive belts. The kit linked above has everything but hoses.

I'm paying my yota dealer $735 to do timing belt and water pump today. Also the thermostat. I'd do it myself if I had a garage to do it in.

$580 that's what my Toyota dealer charged me. Water pump, timing belt, all driving belts, thermostat and gaskets as well as the coolant. Pretty good price it think it helps I get along really good with the service manager

That's a heck of a deal. This is what my timing belt looked like after 174k miles.

    DIY Fabricobbler.
Do your cam seals as well while you are in there.

I did mine myself for just over $325.
All hoses, accessory belts, timing belt, pulleys, tensioner, valve cover gaskets, cam seals, water pump, and thermostat.

Had to make a tool that lines up to the crank pulley to hold it while I loosen that big nut down there. Also to reinstall and get proper torque reinstalling it. Same tool worked to hold the cam pulleys so I could remove/install them.
