I'm guessing that not including tax and that's on a 41-42 truck. That's how much a pretty loaded sport and off road cost. Not trying to call your dealer out but something is not right on that deal.

Also the reason the deals are somewhat decent on the sports and off roads is because they are giving a few thousand off the trucks, not happening on the pro which will likely make the payment with tax closer to 550-600.

The thread is about a Pro
    It includes tax

    Sigh

I was helping the OP with some figures since he won't go to a delear to get the info

    My car is not leased

I lease my office car so I know how much it costs and how a lease works

Also I said this was without negotiation and a 5 minute phone call

You can't even help someone on this forum without getting flamed

    Geez

Just called a dealer in near my friends house a few hours away that has a 42k pro. They said without tax because they do not know exact location of where it was being titled and the monthly cost is 525, add 40-50 for tax and your looking closer to 575. I have leased over 15 cars in less than 5 years and I know what these trucks demand. I have heard it all from dealers, anything to make you consider the deal. Some dealers want to move inventory so they make some
Crazy deals but we are not talking about a sport or off road, we are talking about a pro that many dealers are asking 5k over. The only way it will be possible
Is if they are leasing through another bank like us bank, they put together some crazy deals because they increase the residual to like 77-78 which is great to get a low payment but your monthly payment is not making a big dent on the overall payoff each month.

Also I wasn't blaming you, I was simply pointing out that this deal does not make sense and that OP should not expect to walk into a dealship and get this deal because it will likely not happen. I'm not saying your lying in anyway, I'm just saying that the dealer is telling you what you want to hear.

Leasing seems cheaper than buying and if you want to stay on the payment merry go round for ever it might be a good way to go. Me I enjoy my paid off truck far too much.

    So why lease?
    1. You own a business and would rather save your capital for other uses and use operating expense.
    2. You want to drive a nicer car than you could otherwise afford. And you are happy with making car payments for the rest of forever.
    3. ???? Yeah, oh you want to enrich the car dealer.
Basically, when you lease you are only paying for that portion of the vehicle that you use. That's why you negotiate price and look up residual value (value when you return it to the dealer) The difference is more or less what you're going to be paying, plus taxes, interest, fees, etc, etc. At the end of the day you are still borrowing money so keep that in mind. The opportunities for the dealer to engage in fuckery are many and if you don't know what you're doing make sure to bring lube to the lease signing. Even if you know what you're doing I would highly recommend having an accountant look at anything before signing.

I've never leased a personal vehicle, because I like to live with as little debt as possible. But, I have leased millions of dollars worth of computers for my company. It makes sense for them, and in those big deals I'm backed up by corporate lawyers and high powered accountants. Also I'm dealing with leasing companies that want to do multiple deals so they avoid BS at all costs. (not to mention the lawyers and accounts would catch anything I missed.) The smart money is against leasing because for most individuals it's a bad financial decision. That said my neighbor has only ever leased his vehicles. Every year or so he's driving some fancy new BMW, Audi, Porsche, etc. He will be the first one to tell you he is paying a lot of money on his cars, but his opinion life is short and you should enjoy it. He's probably right.
