TRD, PreRunner, 4WD, or Standard Access Cab Suspension VS Severe Back Pain

OK; Please help with advice on which suspension or combination of shock absorbers, etc. will be less impactful on my spinal column. Is it true that the longer travel in 4WD and TRD, etc. allows less road or trail shock to impact my spine?

I am in fairly severe and chronic pain due to many auto accidents and heavy physical work in my 20s. The compression of my lower back when riding city buses is horrendous. I know that when I am driving the ride will certainly be more moderate.
On the other hand, I really want to purchase truck that does not beat me to death:)

    FYI:
I finally got an MRI on my lumbar region last month, as follows.

    Ll-2: Mild facet hypertrophy.

    L2-3: Mild facet hypertrophy.

L3-4: Moderate facet hypertrophy. Broad-based disc bulge, predominantly lateral

paraspinal, contacting the left L3 nerve root lateral to the neural foramen.

L4-5: Moderate facet hypertrophy. Disc desiccation. Broad-based disc bulge is

predominantly left lateral paraspinal, contacting the left L4 nerve root lateral to

    the neural foramen.

    L5-31: Moderate facet hypertrophy

L3-5 degenerative disc disease with left lateral disc bulges, encroaching on the exiting

nerve roots lateral to the neuroforamina, of uncertain significance.

Thanks in advance for any and all sage advice.
    It will all be appreciated.

I don't have any advice for ya OP but I'm sorry to hear about your back and hope you find something that provides relief. From late June until recently I suffered chronic pain from a buldging disk that was rubbing against my siattic nerve. Couldn't walk or stand without incredible pain, I'm sure nothing on the level you're experiencing. Back pain sucks.

    Thanks for your understanding 1Shifter.
I will just have to drive very, very, very slowly when I am back behind wheels again.
The physical therapy session just yesterday has me wondering how that is supposed to help with all the pain:)

Don't buy it truck, get an SUV with trailer for hauling needs.

Trd off-road might be the smoothest and has more comfortable seats if you are set on buying a truck. 3rd generation seats are more comfortable then the 2nd generation.

I was very skeptical when my GP prescribed PT for my back too. It took about 2 1/2 months of PT twice a week and stretching exercises every day, twice a day, before I noticed any real pain relief. I hope it works for you my friend, good luck with the PT.

    Thanks jake72

    'damping'
That was the word I could not think of for the initial post.
You are probably right about not buying a truck.
Just one big problem --- you can take the boy out of the country, but you will never get the country out of the boy.

I want to have a canopy and the option of hauling small furniture across town, etc.
With my friends (those who still have spines) help, of course.

    on the other hand...
