@Bruce988jl you mentioned on the ENH Yota run you broke your trailer harness bracket, did you end up replacing it? I'm getting sick of looking at the trailer harness wires dangle behind my truck and didn't know if you found a good relocation bracket.

Yea I got sick of the oem 7-way and bought a Hopkins 7/4-way heavy duty piece and made an adapter to mount it up hidden behind the spare. See picture below. (I need to make the block a bit shorter but it works for now)

Eventually I'll get around to machining a proper swing down piece to hold the part and then swing up and get locked in place so it's out of the way.

You don't need a bracket. Just put it next to your licence plate

I can get get new glocks for msrp with no problems. The RFB sounds fun wouldn't mind playing with one. But like I said I kill to find an SP01 for msrp or order one online. Last one I saw in MA guy wanted $1600 for it. This state suck I couldn't justify dropping $1000 extra bucks on a gun. Maybe I'll settle for a 34mos but I'm a sucker for a gun with a real frame.

While it was probably considerably marked up, are you sure it wasn't one of the higher grade SP01? I know they have some that run $1000+. Either way, with the SP01, the real issue is supply. Even in free states they are quite uncommon.

    Morning all.

What are the MA requirements for handguns in regards to why you can buy only certain models? Something to do with trigger pull or is there more than just that?

Dad made it through the night. Doctor said it was basically a miracle. Looks like this wasn't his time to go.

    Great news!

And the rules for MA handguns are a bunch or arbitrary nonsense ginned up by our very knowledgeable atty general based on the scariness index of an individual firearm. Things like "clip" size and black tacticool level are taken into account.

That's what I plan to do eventually. Some replace one of the plate lights, but I like your approach better. I tend to burn through plate bulbs for whatever reason so two gives me some redundancy.

I destroyed mine once--bought a Hopkins plug and wired it up, but it's in the same place as the factory one. Had about an hour to fix it before I needed to grab a trailer so didn't want to mess with drilling through the bumper and everything at the time.

Whoever designed the taco hitch plug definitely did as an after thought. What a terrible place for it on a pickup designed / marketed as being rugged and for off-road use

So I had some idle time this morning and came up with a mod to allow me to carry 4X8 sheet goods. Looks like it'll work nicely when I need a few sheets of plywood or drywall.

Glad to hear you dad is fighting on!

As for the handgun requirements no one really knows not even the law makers. One of the problems is they make companies jump through a bunch of hoops to get certified. So lots of manufactures particularly the small high end companies don't even bother.

Realistically there is not a single firearm company that would not pass all the drop tests and random useless tests. But like others have said the law was created by people who do not understand anything about firearms, and ban stuff essentially because it looks scary. I.e. A 9mm AR is now illegal to buy but I can by a semi auto .308 that can punch a hole in 1" plate with the right ammo because it has a wood stock and doesn't look scary.

It may have been a custom shop or shadow. But from what I have seen in MA I'll probably find one for 1000-1200 if I wait long enough.

Genius! My last truck had the cut outs for 2x4s to go across the bed but i could never figure out how to give support over the tailgate. I ended up making 2x4 runners for the length of the bed but this is a much cooler option. Nice work!

I'd never pay that. I buy in NH and have it transferred in.
